grrrrrrrr only one problem .......

Me and Joan went off to watch our first live Rugby League game yesterday.
The Quins v Warrington - and the Wires won.
Was great
..... three trains to the west from the east (of London)
A two hour rest in a French Bistro hmmm
Then ... seated at half-way in a Northern crowd with great humour, in full song, someone behind us how knew the referee was a Banker, and some rude rude songs/words - oh dear .......
We talked so much me and Joan ...... wondrous to get out of the house for liesure instead of clicking or commuting or Training ..... 10.30 to 6.30 and Iloveitloveit and we must go to as many games as we can.

Nice meal out with friends tonight ...... loveit ......

"Our skin colour will not change
but our heart colour can if we seek it and want it."

Spent an hour with Mr Wisdom today.
Not many humans have the privilege of an hour with Mr Singh.
Some would avoid him - and do.
Yet, if you listen deeply, he has the most amazing wisdom from a man who has lived a special life.
He is a carpenter.
I like carpenters.
He talked about being in the Chapel of the Hostel where he lives.
How two young homeless women came in and kneeled before the cross and prayed.
He slipped quietly away so not to disturb them ........

...... and as we sipped Costa Coffee, always ask for Fairtrade .......
We watched a homeless man go by, the one who always has his life piled in a Sainsbury's trolly.
Mr Singh says to me
"God is in that man".
He knows - he talks to him.

A weekly dose of Singh
~ hard work
~ depth
~ wisdom
........ as such is the Kingdom ........

"Loving humans are magnets".

Does the wholeness of life seem so far away?
Unobtainable?
Yes it is unobtainable.
It is a journey not a destination
Life is along the way ............

I believe there is beauty in all humans ....

He got off the tube train which I which I had just entered.
I saw him as he walked away.
I used to work with him
In a Hostel where I used to work
Issues with alcohol
relationship breakdowns
confidence issues
A great man
About 30 ish
Not always consistent
Always warm to me
Why did he do this walking away?
1 Maybe?
2 Maybe?
3 Maybe?
4 Bless him in whatever - wherever ......

Emotionally insecure
beautiful humans
inadequate humans
displace their emotions
upon others.
Sometimes this is physical.

Working with the working class - the urban poor - the bottom end of our society, in some peoples view, the work with them has so often been 'working' for them and not with them'.
So often the superior attitudes by in-comers, into their communities, has been paternalism.
This is so often rejected and resented.
Because ...... they have been too verbal, only 7% of communication is verbal, and conceptual.
Communication, and lives lived, needs to be experiential and solidly concrete in all communication.

I do some training in the issue of 'Participation' because many Housing or Youth projects are under pressure from government and monitoring groups to 'involve' their clients.
The problem, so often, is that the whole organisations is top down paternalistic. Too verbal and conceptual and does not encourage participation NOT EVEN amongst professional staff.
So much for the incarnational ...........

...... I will go to bed now ..

Thinking about Zig our cat.
I wonder how he feels ....
This big Giant of a human holding him in his arms every night, consistent, always the same, held gently on his back, always carried slowly, always a kiss to his furry cheek, always placed gently down next to his food ......

.... do you feel like that .......

.
