Big Day Tomorrow ....... it is always the big game against our big rivals

Yes - we play Wigin on Good Friday in the wondrous game called Rugby League.
And I love it.
Same Day .......... it is the most meaningful day in my year.
Good Friday.
It is a day when I enter in .....
..... enter into myself.
It is a day of having a closer walk with God.
I want to be on my own
so I go to the 3 hour service at Church
and I stay alone
take in
quiet
reflective
shuddering at the horror
feeling the feelings
flesh torn apart
and I feel it
and I want to.
It is a day of feeling it
normally my washing machine mind
is full of thought and analysis
Good Friday is
Feeling it
When the choir comes in for the last half hour - I leave.
The silence I have experienced
the reflections
the stations of the cross
ended
so I go home.
It takes me hours to recover.
Then I will watch the Saints on TV and scream
at the game
and the win .......
....... I hope ....
