Last Day today.
Strange feeling.
OK – but being the last day gives a different focus.

Last night it was our Anniversary Meal out. Doing what we have done every evening since we have been here. We sat in a local Taverna garden, deep black curtains above, Sprinkled with stardust – in fact a million stars high above this little twosome.
We talked and talked. We never get tired of talking together. Reflection is another word.

We were reflecting that 44 years ago this very evening on honeymoon, we went to see the movie The Nutty Professor starring Jerry Lewis and howled with laughter. We had a morning wedding and a nice roast meal for our reception lunch and then, in a borrowed Morris Minor, we drove off to a foreign country – that was about 70 miles away called Wales. So we stayed for a couple of nights in a commercial travellers lodging and went to the movies. Great memories eh?

Great big Rugby League game tonight. The Grand Final of the Super League at Old Trafford starring Leeds, a fantastic team, and The Saints from St Helens. Our team.
There is not one Sky dish in the village here. I have asked in every bar who show the Greek Premier League, you guessed it, football. I ask have they got SKY and they "Ska?"

Big John recons he can fix it to get me the match live on my laptop – with the excellent wireless connection here. They roll it out live in Australia. The alternative is Radio, BBC Five Live Extra which covers the whole match (but it says only internet - UK only) – or Five-Live which is contaminated by a football match too.
So 8 pm Greek time, or 6 pm UK time, we will be listening or watching a big game in this here Greek town.
All of the experience, and us watching/listening, will be on webcam of course!

Come on the Saints – I am so nervous – so excited.

Warm and sunny here again today. Last day to catch rays 2008.
Other plans – read – sun – music – Greek breakfast and lunch and, a late snack after the game which finishes gone 10 pm local time.

I have finished reading The Shack. I hope Joan will read it. I am reserving comment other than I think it would be worth you considering reading it.

The lead picture above is Greece as it reaches out South into the Med – towards the Island of Crete. You can see the three fingers. Between the finger on the left you will see a wart on the side of the second finger – just below that, we are here waving.
Mainland Greece. So beautiful and unspoilt by cheap tourism.

I may not blog tomorrow as we will mainly be travelling ………………

You are beautiful.
