I say I don't go to work
I go to Love.

I am on the road
Armed and ready.
Laptop fully loaded.
Notes for the back pocket.
Soul naked.

I feel I have been away much.
Always feels more than reality.

I prepare for life
as well as live it.
I want to give
I want to love.

Someone I know
is in Wormwood Scrubs.
I know that place.
HMP - belongs to the Queen.
Like her, I have never resided
in in a palace called HMP Prison.

Over many years
I have known many who have.
It was always hated.
The worst say my friends.

That prison was on TV this week.
Second and last part this week coming.
See it if you can.
It will tear your heart out.

Often in prison there are so many
wounded and hurting humans.
In desperate agonising pain.
I feel deeply for them.
I want to help.

Maybe I can with one
to love and love the more.

My main mission is working with such
beautiful humans
as they come out, before they go in.
All their complicated lives can be reconfigured.
I believe.

I believe that everyone
who walks this earth
will eventually respond to Love.
That Love that will not let me go.
Or let you go.
Only let you live.

I am reading a book at the moment:
'A Long Obedience in the same direction.'
It is about the long now.
About the long Love.

Love is absolutely vital to our human life.
For love alone can awaken what is divine in you.
In love, you grow and come home to your self.
When you love and let your self be loved,
you come home to the hearth of your own spirit.
You are warm and sheltered.
You are completely at one in the house of your own longing and belonging. …
Love begins with paying attention to others,
with an act of gracious self-forgetting.
This is the condition in which we grow.

John O’Donohue.
