thank you so much for your post re the poor - it made me weep .......................
vulnerable people who already have life experiences stacked against them - and we pile more and more tragic life experiences on top of that ............
we need to love the hell out of these people - back to work this week after 8 wks sick leave, ever more determined to love and love and love again.............
............i was in a meeting today with a lady who is an asylum seeker - she ended up in court for working here illegally to provide for her family of three young children, as she can't claim full benefits.............she faces deportation - her daughter faces genital mutilation back home in Nigeria - we wept - where's love? where's justice? where's compassion?
she has a beautiful smile - her children have the same smile ........ they are all beautiful humans .............. let us love love love one another - not something i have seen in any manifesto recently!
