Greenbelt Festival ANVENTurous

Union Chapel

Announcing ADVENTurous – and an opportunity for artists

It might feel like a long time until the beginning of December,
but we’re starting to think about ADVENTurous,
an exciting one-day festival we’re partnering with Union Chapel to curate at their gorgeous venue in Islington, north London.
Taking place on Saturday 1 December, daytime events will see a range of creative thinking and artistry, all imagining what we might need to risk to get to the ‘next place’ – environmentally, economically and as a faith community.
The evening will see a gig featuring some great Greenbelt singer-songwriters.

The event will also feature a mixed-media art exhibition, curated by Trust Greenbelt funded organisation, Engedi Arts. And, if you’re an artist, your work could be exhibited as part of the display.

Pieces will explore themes inspired by the gospel narrative of Advent, with artists expected to make their pieces relevant to faith, economy and ecology.

Some of these pieces will go on to exhibitions in Leeds and Colwyn Bay.
Engedi Arts have more information on their website about what they’re looking for,
so click here for more, and submission information »

We’ll release more information about ADVENTurous in the months leading up to December, so mark the date in your diary!
