GREENBELT FESTIVAL HOT NEWS

Frank Skinner

Frank Skinner announced for Greenbelt 2012

We’re thrilled to announce that FRANK SKINNER will be appearing in conversation in the Greenbelt Big Top on Saturday 25 August.
Comedy legend Frank Skinner has been a vital part of the British comedy scene for the past twenty years. He won the Perrier Award at the 1991 Edinburgh Fringe, and went on to appear with his then-flatmate David Baddiel on Fantasy Football League and Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned, as well as his own, hugely popular chat show The Frank Skinner Show on BBC One and ITV. He now presents two BBC2 comedy shows – Frank Skinner’s Opinionated and Room 101 – as well as the Absolute Radio Saturday Breakfast show, the podcast of which was downloaded 10.1m times in 2011, making it the most successful commercial radio podcast.
He has written three books – his 2002 autobiography Frank Skinner by Frank Skinner, his 2007 book about returning to live standup Frank Skinner On The Road, and his 2011 collection of his regular columns for The Times, Dispatches from the Sofa.
Frank is a practising Catholic, and has written extensively about his faith, as well as hosting an In Conversation event with the Archbishop of Canterbury. As the title of his TV show suggests, Frank is opinionated – with considered views on subjects as varied as George Formby, the credit crunch, Elvis, sex, the new atheism, fatherhood and his beloved West Bromwich Albion.
