I love the beautiful presence of disabled humans - like you and me.

See the stars of the London 2012 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony performing live!

Last night's Opening Ceremony marked the start of the Paralympic Games and featured some of the UK's best Deaf and disabled performers. You can see many of the ceremony's stars live at our Unlimited festival.
  • Graeae, the leading theatre company for disabled actors, performed their rendition of 'Spasticus Autisticus' in the ceremony. Catch the full show on 9 September in Graeae's Reasons to be Cheerful. The Opening Ceremony was co-directed by Artistic Director of Graeae Jenny Sealey.
  • You might have also spotted daring performers on four-metre-high sway poles. You can see these live in action in Graeae's The Garden, an outdoor show that defies gravity!
  • World-famous soprano Denise Leigh sang the tribute song 'Spirit in Motion' and you can see her in Unlimited as part of The Ugly Spirit.
  • Acclaimed dancer David Toole was part of the aerial ballet and you can catch him in a number of Unlimited events – The Impending StormArt For All in Unexpected Places and Breathe.
Book tickets now before they sell out for these shows featuring the UK's finest Deaf and disabled artists.

Pop into Southbank Centre any time until 9 September to catch a huge range of shows, plus free exhibitions as part of Unlimited festival. Everyone is welcome and there's always something to see and do.
