Free democracy engagement training
UK Youth is running FREE training for youth workers and volunteers as part of its new peer education Democracy Engagement Project.
If offers a great opportunity to gain the knowledge and resources required to increase the democratic engagement of the young people you work with.
Attendees will receive a copy of the Democracy Toolkit which contains activities and information to improve young people's understanding of democracy.
The resources are designed for all kinds of abilities and situations and can be used with both large and small groups.
Each attendee will be expected to train at least three young people as Democracy Champion Peer Educators who will in turn need to educate at least five of their peers.
Through this process it is hoped more young people will engage in democracy and register to vote.
