I would like to thank my arms, for always being by side. My legs, for always supporting me, & my fingers… because I can always count on them.

I started driving my car
with (then) 5 year old Conniepops
in her back seat / child seat.

We conversed as we travelled.
She said she didn’t like me
saying ‘Cockers’ when referring to her.
(Cockers is a Northern UK term
derived from ‘Cock’ which is
another friendly name often
spilling from my mouth.
Its a bit like the Midlands
‘Me-Duck’ often used in cafe’s
“What would you like me-duck?)

We only had a 10/15 minute drive
ahead of us so moved the subject
along and said::
I would like to thank my arms,
for always being by side.
My legs,
for always supporting me,
& my fingers…
because I can always count on them.

Conniepops immediately came back
at me and said::
“I would like to thank my brain
for helping me to think.
I would like to thank my
ears for helping me to hear
I would like to thank my
mouth for helping me to speak….  "
and on she went covering her
hair/nose/toes/fingers ………..

“How do you know about the brain?”
I asked and she started to tell me
where it was and it’s functionality!

I was astounded by her knowledge
and her conversational level.

I just wanted share this
wondrous life experience.

I love her so much.
