THE SAINTS

..... last night Joan and me were on our knees before the TV as we watched our team battle with the Pie Eaters - our greatest rivals.

We won and that one win was the final point to take us to the top of the league - we won the Super League!

Rugby League has the system of a top six play-offs so after next week, the last game of the season, the top six clubs play off - knock each other out! .................. until the final - the Grand Final on the 15th October 2005.

We have got to beatthe best of the teams to get there. Bad bad bad was there were players hurt badly last night. MY TEAM! Two of them through rule breaking blows to the head by one player who I trust will be suspended during this week - terrible acts of violence. This game is the toughest without breaking any rules grrrrrr

I love this game which I played from age five ................ we didn't have any of that softie football/soccer in our town. There is no better way for a hard working Wilson to relax at the end of a busy week than watching our team ................ when the win too!!

........ thought you would like to know that .......... and then I wake up at 4 am for no stupid reason ....... hey hey

BLOB TREE

The Big Book of Blobs.

This new book is out now and available from me NOW.

I am repeating the news here because it is not in the main stream shops so this is one of the few methods of making it known. Search engines pick up the first few words of my blog and bring humans here ........ if humans don't know it exists - they don't have a choice to buy or not.

It is a major breakthrough. The blob tree has been around since my first Games book 'Games Without Frontiers' - some 15 years ago (guess). It was also published in a further book of mine - see home page for details. Now there are plenty of tools in one book!

This one has over 50 Blob Tree type tools which can be used in many different situations. They are used in one on one - counselling etc.. Also group work - ice breakers for small or large groups .......... and I have used them for years with very large groups, 1k or more, on a big big screen.

If you can make it known for me I would appreciate.
If you can recommend a magazine to review it - or anyone who has a circulation I can tap into ............ thanx

.... being poor in America .................................
"To be poor in America was to be invisible, but not after this week, not after those images of the bedraggled masses at the Superdome, convention center and airport. No one can claim that the post-Reagan orthodoxy of low taxes and small government, which does wonders for the extremely rich, also inevitably does wonders for the extremely poor. What was that about a rising tide lifting all boats? What if you don't have a boat?"

- Eugene Robinson, columnist.

Thanx John Paul ........

Because ............

BECAUSE I'M A DAD...
..I must hold the television remote control in my hand while I watch TV. If
the thing has been misplaced, I'll miss a whole show looking for it, though
one time I was able to survive by holding a calculator.

...when I lock my keys in the car, I will fiddle with a wire clothes hanger
and ignore your suggestions that we call road service until long after hypothermia has set in.
Oh, and when the car isn't running very well, I will pop it open and stare at the engine as if I know what I'm looking at. If another guy shows up, one of us will say to the other, "I used to be able to fix these things, but now with all these computers and everything, I wouldn't know where to
start."

...when I catch a cold I need someone to bring me soup and take care of me
while I lie in bed and moan. You never get as sick as I do, so for you this
isn't an issue.

...I can be relied upon to purchase basic groceries at the store, like milk,
or bread. I cannot be expected to find exotic items like "Cumin" or "Tofu."
For all I know these are the same thing. And never, under any circumstances,
expect me to pick up a copy of "Cosmo" or "Better Homes & Gardens."

...when one of our appliances stops working, I will insist on taking it apart, despite evidence that this will just cost me twice as much once the repair person gets here and has to put it back together.

...I don't think we're all that lost, and no, I don't think we should stop and ask someone. Why would you listen to a complete stranger--how could HE know
where we're going?

...you don't have to ask me if I liked the movie. Chances are, if you're crying at the end of it, I didn't.

...I think what you're wearing is fine. I thought what you were wearing five minutes ago was fine, too. Either pair of shoes is fine. With the belt or without it looks fine. Your hair is fine. You look fine. Can we just go now?

I looked at all the caged humans in the prisons...
the cast-offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry.

"God," I said, "this is terrible! Why don't you do something?"

God was silent for a moment and then He spoke softly,
"I have done something," He replied. "I created you."

.

LOOK....

Look around you – there are people around you.
Maybe you will remember one of them all your life and later eat your heart out because you didn’t make use of the opportunity to ask them questions.

"I am what I am"

...... sometimes .....

....... I journey under London for four hours a day - two hours and then a return. Home at 9pm today. (the tube was packed+ packed in central London tonight at 8pm! - no fear of bombs now me thinks!)

So often I hate to stop and rip my earplugs out with regret - today because I was listening to Pete Tong and his house music programme from radio>to iPod.

"I am what I am"
....... is a poster seen around the London Underground. Tried twice today to catch the ad as it moved past on the side of a double decker bus. My 'always with me' camera could not open quick enough - stink.

"I am what I am" is often said to me by humans who exhibit obnoxious behaviour.
(there is no such thing as an obnoxious person - only obnoxious behaviour)

This 'one liner' is so sad it seems to me - and I hate the thought.
We are more than what - we are. We are not stuck in a time warp - I hope.

Me?
I am a human like this now, a personal self assessment - not an imposed one, but I am a 'becoming' human - full of beautiful imperfection but becoming ............... becoming ........ journeying along a road less travelled to become a human reaching out for my full potential ...
THAT is a better advert ......... not very short and sweet like the former.

'I am what I am' is giving in to the status quo.
'I am what I am' is saying I am happy with who I am ........... who is - just tell me?

What would you say "I am .........................................."?

Taking up my own challenge ...........
......... I am beautiful ....... and my head and spirit tells me that ........ but (sorry - not buts) ALSO I am imperfect and on the road 'in change' and becoming the sort of human I have been created to be.
I want to be the sort of person I want to spend the rest of my life with.
Ever changing.
Seeking wholeness for self and others.
Seeing the creed I have signed up to - as being about commitment to continuous change;
personal
social
cosmic

I want to discover who I am now -but then be transported instantly on a journey again ...........
