Met with Paul Angel ... .... ...

..... (below) on the way home from work tonight and Zig had been left out all day - thought he may be angry with me - but he was on my knee for a cuddle as soon as I sat with a Cointreau and cigar.

Joined my work-place Weight Watchers today.
Never been able to lose weight.
Always put half a stone on over Christmas.
Always a few months to get back to the December norm.
I joined to be with the humans too.
And it would be nice to lose a bit. ....... as I sip my Cointreau ......

George

..... non UK Television viewers - we have Big Brother doing prime time TV.........

in Big Brother ...... so sad to see that a man with supposed maturity, is so 'Parent' with his attitude to hurting humans.

For instance;
1 Starting a sentence with "You ...... " - seems to me that this is a big heavy put down.

2 Standing over a person and pointing a finger.

3 Raised voice - shouting even.

4 Saying the word "should"

Others around are vulnerable.
He, as a mature MP - a position of power, is being oppressive.
Duvet Diving is happening by the most oppressed and vulnerable!

I believe that behind the mists the sun waits.
I believe that beyond the dark night it’s raining stars.
I believe in secret volcanoes and the world below.
I believe that this lost ship will reach its port.
They will not rob me of hope, it shall not be broken,
It shall not be broken.

This is me ..... .... ...

Yesterdays blog was about this ..... and I have now checked it out with Mr WWW.Web

DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy)
Tears are made primarily by the lacrimal gland, which is anatomically located in the upper lateral aspect of the upper eyelid. With each blink, however, tears are drained from the eye through the tear drainage system, into the nose. There are normally two openings to the tear drainage system; one in the upper eyelid and one in the lower eyelid. These tiny orifices are situated along the margin of the eyelid, closest to the nose, and are known as puncta.

The puncta lead to tiny ducts known as
canaliculi which lead to the lacrimal sac, situated just along the inside corner of the eye, on the side of the bridge of the nose. Tears are carried from the lacrimal sac down the nasolacrimal duct into the nose. It is usually toward the bottom of the nasolacrimal duct that obstructions of this passageway occur.

A test for obstruction of the nasolacrimal duct might include irrigation of the tear drainage pathways. This non-painful test is completed by placing a small, blunt irrigating syringe just inside the initial opening of the tear duct, and irrigating fluid (water or saline) through the tear drainage system. If the nasolacrimal duct is determined to be relatively or completely obstructed, a DCR procedure is often appropriate.

The DCR Procedure which I need to have done - In this procedure, the tear drainage pathways are reconnected to the inside of the nose. A small incision is usually placed approximately midway between the corner of the eye and the bridge of the nose. The lacrimal sac is located, incised, and then connected to the nasal mucosa creating a new tear drainage pathway.

Tiny plastic tubes (stents) are then placed in the newly created tear drainage pathway for a few months to prevent scarring of the tear drainage ducts, which might otherwise result in failure of the surgery. The tubes can usually be removed in the office with little if any discomfort or need for anesthesia.

Banksy Joy

Joy received an original print of a Banksy work of art from her sister-sheila! She also received his book full of images which are demending to the eyaes and the soul.

The pic below is his too.
One of his famous works of art is the one painted on the wall which seperates Palestine - people from people.

Never build walls until you know
what you are walling out - or walling in!!

Another work of art is a sort of disfigurment of a cash point near the Quality Chophouse' where we eat out for Joy's birthday.

Significant art ............ hmmm

New proposals yesterday in the UK from the Government - and I agree there is massive need out there - out here.

Nice communities - ghettos of nice leafy suburbs, no Vicky Pollards in sight, may say there is no issue and it is wrong to punish all the nice young people for a few 'yobs' .
(how I hate that word 'Yobs' which is used so often - even respectable newspapers ......... the 'beautiful human' principle is applied to all human kind and is not about behaviour but the central core and value of all human beings - and becoming)

There is trouble on the streets and communities are self destructing and the ones who cop the aggro are the ones who live in these poorest of communities. So something needs doing - and not only more houses but more communities with all the needs of humans met ...... of such is the kingdom.

Disruptive families, it is quoted, would be expected to sign up to a strict behaviour code in return for 24-hour professional counselling and family support. I like the latter but the risk of going into a mode of 'control' concerns me. These Vicky Pollard families have few resources to bring to being successful parent and family makers. We need to be gentle and loving and yet work with them, through gaining confidence, to help them build themselves up and only having a small repertoire of activities. They need to become response-able ........ able to respond to the tough life that living in poverty brings.

Problem families who faced eviction or their children being taken into care would qualify to be sent on intensive family support schemes modelled on a project running in Dundee which claims an 84% success rate. Some families would have to live in dedicated "secure" accommodation for up to 12 months as part of the scheme; others may be allowed to stay in their own homes.
This is harsh but there needs to be some intervention - not by humans in uniforms but local workers who understand and care.
Humans respond to love.
If humans feel secure, remember the base line of Maslow, they will respond with a positive attitude.
There is a massive need for facilitating/supporting their growth into emotional security.
Otherwise ........ don't we all lash out if we feel oppressed and have no other skills to enable us to be response-able!

it’s got to make a difference ...... by Paul Field

i don’t wanna buy Jesus on a shiny corporate cd
i’m not looking for a lifestyle based on some kind of holy mtv
i don’t wanna new experience to take me deeper into myself
i want the kind of faith that’s going to make me
some good to someone else

it’s got to make a difference, from the cradle to the grave
to the diamonds and the dirt, that we dig up along the way
it’s got to make a difference, to our short attention span
if a cross can be a crown, and if god can be a man

i don’t wanna come to worship for a sunday morning shine
like a pill to take for holiness
washed down with bread and wine
i can’t kneel before an altar built on riches and success
i want love to touch my heart nothing more & nothing less

it’s got to make a difference, from the cradle to the grave
to the diamonds and the dirt, that we dig up along the way
it’s got to make a difference, to our short attention span
if a cross can be a crown, and if god can be a man

it’s got to make a difference, in a world of our mistakes
to the lies that we can’t swallow, to the shit that we won’t take
it’s got to make a difference, if we start to understand
that it completely changes everything if god can be a man

every man and woman equal, let compassion draw the line
from Baghdad into the white house, from Israel to Palestine
it’s got to make a difference, from the bottom to the top
let the hope begun in Jesus, be the passion we can’t stop

for the outcast and the broken, to the hungry and the poor
for the zealot and the terrorist, who are beating on our door
beyond the streets of Babylon
we’ve got to find the prayer to pray
that we might go beyond religion, and let love have her way

When Catastrophe Strikes

"Only when we take human existence upon ourselves
in its starkest and most humiliating misery—
a misery in which nothing has meaning—
can we win through to the only possible way to live.
Only when we taste the lot of all,
when we become involved deeply in world suffering,
one in heart with the need of humanity,
can we win through to our true vocation.
Only when the conscience becomes active,
only when love is born out of suffering,
only when hardship leads to liberating action, is victory near"

Greenbelt meeting last night ... ... .... ....

........ first meeting of the year and things will kick from now on ...... another Meeting of the Trustees this month and then we roll with passion all the way to www.greenbelt.org.uk

After pints in the pub next to the Greenbelt office - Big John came home to ours for a late night dose of Cointreau and cigars. This morning we worked on Mac things, shhhh he is a secret believer but needs to get a PC divorce first!
He played with my Macs in pretence that he was helping me.
(he really did help me to set up a back up system for my iMac - so damn simple that I can handle it - I hope!

He was then good enough to drop me off at the Eye Hospital before driving sat-nay to Geordie land - they all talk funny there!
( I am the only human on earth without an accent!)

All afternoon ............. I was in the hands of Nursing Humans who do a great job - and then came the Surgeons!
The Sister was the first to push my head back and insert a syringe with a long needle right up my tear ducts. The pressure was on. It hurt!
"Your a man" she said! - with some sarcastic humour.
Also some pressure down my ducts - it sprayed all over my documents some six feet away - and I was wet.

Then it was a consultation with the Eye Surgeon. The first thing he did was to repeat the syringe and needle investigation - with purpose. The left eye duct is clear as I could taste the fluid in my mouth.
The right eye is blocked. Blocked just before the little collecting sac, which collects the tears from both eyes, just behind the upper nose.

We had a good chat about life and humans in need. All this triggered by him asking about my work. I had just read the Guardian in the waiting room, and seen an article and a pic of a youngster, who I have worked, and loved, with over a period. He has been found guilty, with others, of killing a 74 year old woman.

Then he said - I needed an operation. It seems that they will drill a hole in my upper nose and insert a silicone tube in this newly created passage. Hmmm
All to help my tears flow ....... hmmm
It is called Dacryocystorhinostomy ......... must do a web search and find out the details!

By the time I had got home I was 'good for nothing' and could not relax.
Joan will tell me off, she is away taking Joyce, her Mother, to hospital.
The reason - for my food today, I have had two bowls of porridge - during the adverts of Celebrity Big Brother.

I think of the humans mentioned above -
I know so many or in pain and a drilling of the nose,
conducted by true professionals,
would be the least of their concerns ......

bBeautiful in your reality ......
