I am writing

mid-morning/WILSON MANSIONS
because I am feeling
but don't know
how I am feeling

Music is playing
as always
Gilles Peterson
my favourite - of all music
captured via Radio
during the night.

I feel emotional
the music penetrates my soul
I feel.

I have lots to do
articles to write
loads of admin
going away tomorrow
and again next week
yet
yet
I feel disconnected
feel unfocused.

I am back after making
a milky coffe/strong.

When I am out and about
I like a Coffee Latte
and do the same
when working at home.

I have made a few decisions.
I have crammed my diary too full.
I have lost all my 28k photos
Big John tells me to have faith
I need that.

I need the photos too.
I need them for my emotional life
but also to prepare for challenges
prep for gigs forthcoming.

I have now returned to this page
now 3.30 pm.
Done a lot
packed for tomorrow.
List of must do's done
other priority essential
to-do's ............not.

Tomorrow me
and Mrs Beautiful go away.

Two days in France.
First time we have been away together
for almost 4 years.
Moving from Wilson Mansions
to Mini Mansions two years ago
has played a big part in this.

We are heading for Reims
maybe my favourite place to go
for a short break.

wi-fi permitting
I will Blog
Pipturesques too.

I will leave with these level five bits
from the soul of a L5 student.

Willie Williams Joins Concert Master Classes Faculty

Visual designer Willie Williams, best known for his many years working with U2, joins the faculty of the Concert Master Classes, to be held in December at USC, in addition to other recently announced new faculty members, Yves Aucoin, Steve Cohen, David "Gurn" Kaniski, Jim Lenahan, Arnold Serame, and Tim LaValley.

Williams will specifically discuss the U2 360° Tour: Before, During, & After (check out the full Q+A with Williams from the September issue here). The tour was a five-year project for Williams, and he will outline how it was the culmination of his 30 year collaboration with the band, how a seemingly impossible design was realized, and what on earth comes next.

Williams' work has ranged from designing full visual environments for massive tours for U2, R.E.M., David Bowie, and George Michael, as well as more intimate designs for Kronos Quartet.

Theatre projects have included lighting and video scenery for the Little Britain Live tour, and also Pam Ann at the Bloomsbury Theatre, London. He designed the lighting and video content for the musical We Will Rock You playing at theatres in seven countries worldwide and also for Barbarella at the Raimund Theatre, Vienna.

Williams has also delved into comedy recently--designing it, that is--with shows for Female duo French & Saunders and comedian Steve Coogan (Still Alive and Steve Coogan is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters, respectively). A new venture started last year, The Third Company, with business partner and video content producer Sam Pattinson, has brought about projects for The Cartoon Network and more.

TIME magazine profiled Williams' work in September 2006 and New York’s Metropolitan Home magazine featured him in its “Design 100” issue in May 2006. He has been honored by his peers several times, such as when the George Michael stage was included in the Creative Review annual in Spring 2007 and awarded “Best in Book.” In 2001, he received an EDDY award from Entertainment Design magazine for excellence in entertainment design. Wired Magazine ranked him as one of the “Top 25 Visionaries in Entertainment” in 2000.

We so easily
Respond to
Behaviour
Because we don't sense the
Hurt inside.
...
So we don't see
The beauty

What if ....

.
I know a lovely man.
- warm
- always a greeting
- helps me feel good
- abusive - racist - terrible - ugly to be near - when drunk.

I find that all humans are great people.
- the burglar
- the violent
- the abusive
- the drug dependent
- the street sleeper
- the dirty
- the robber
- the smelly
- the mentally disturbed
- the drunk

When you meet them -behind the behaviour- they are great humans.
Generous.
Accepting
Even me!

They have problems like us.
Only different!
Want to throw the first stone - or a few?

Approach a a human who disgusts you.
Crouch down.
Sit down.
They are usually on the ground.
Or lower than you.
Ask a question.
Give to that human - something.
Eye contact is good.
Time.

In time ....
A question about her/his feelings.
In time .....
Tell about a time in your life when you suffered and lived on the edge.
In time .....
Listen with your eyes.
In time ......... a touch ...........

You are communicating to
a beautiful human person.
