The week I was robbed of my Dr Dre Beats

I sat in silence
but
inside I was kneeling.

I was told about washing feet
Inside, I wanted to 'do' not receive.

I was told about a traitors feet being washed.
Inside I feel like a traitor.

I was told about a man undressing to wash feet.
Inside I feel vulnerable.

I was locked away for three hours.
Inside I wanted to stay there forever.

I was robbed this week.
One man was betrayed to death by another.

I know all about praying.
Inside I practice so little.

I know I am a follower and a leader.
Inside I feel I know so little and love even less.

The person who robbed me this week.
Inside I find it easy enough to love him.

I was robbed of my DrDre Beats headphones this week.
Inside I feel they are a symbol of my love of music.

Being robbed of them creates a sound
Inside - beyond music.

Three hours of reflection.
Inside on a journey of becoming.

It is finished.
Inside I feel unfinished, work in progress, incomplete.

I want to be that journey.
Inside I want to be that, live that.

Pip Wilson on writing

I believe in writing
Reflecting I call it.

I will never write a book.
I have published many books.

But ALL have been a compilation
of my
reflections
experiences
journey
ideas
learning
and
yearning
along the way.

WONDER, a bit, by Rob Bell

LOVED LONDON 2012 Olympic Opening event

Mrs Beautiful and me had a late night TV show watching, like many in the world, the start of the Olympics.
And it was good for me.

Some special moments such as
Mr Bean
and
Bond and the Queen
doing a bit of acting, surley the first time the Queen has acted in a Movie - courageous methinx.

Loved the soundtrack throughout. I have already captured the
TV footage digitally
and loved the opening sequence -
the orchestra -
the count down with London images -
the flow of movement from the Thames source .........
SO MUCH

I will capture the total soundtrack too.
I want to be able to listen to it all on my iPhone.
Those Underworld musical creationists did well.
The total production crew.
Love all the volunteers involved.

ABIDE WITH ME
WOW

The stadium was a wondrous site/sight!

LAST WORD

The involvement/participation
of young humans
in VIP roles
THEY ARE
(not only our present but our future)

Loved it - thank you all.

YOU can Perform at the Greenbelt Festival.

Busking

Perform on the Roots Stage at Greenbelt

The Roots Stage is an open performance venue, where the creativity of Greenbelt festivalgoers can be shared and celebrated.
It is an open-mic, sign-up-and-play venue where the content can be anything. A great place to hear new acts, or to be heard yourself, Roots survives and thrives by relying on you, the festivalgoer, to provide the entertainment.
Throughout the day, Roots offers an open door to type of act – the newest bands, poetry, drama, comedy, dance – if you can perform it, you’re welcome to play. Each evening, the stage will be taken over for a series of unique engaging sessions; check the boards on display at the venue for acts performing.
If you want to play, come and visit us at the venue to sign-up for a 30 minute slot. We’ll provide a stage, microphones and lights, you’ll need to bring instruments/props/visual aids and whatever else you need. Slots will be awarded on a first-come basis (only after the festival site is fully open on Friday) and are expected to fill up, so make sure you visit us early.
Roots promises to be an eclectic and entertaining mix of young and old, the new and the familiar, all out in the open air. Do come and enjoy it with us; you never know what you might discover.
