Three people have been killed in southern Israel by rockets fired by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip, amid escalating violence.

I am reminded of the line which struck me as so relevant when I was in the depths of Inner City Youth work

Important facts to keep in mind while reading news coverage of Israel's attack on Gaza:

• Zero Israelis were killed by Palestinian rockets in 2012 before Israel launched "Operation Pillar of Cloud". On the other hand, over 70 Palestinians 

were killed by Israeli F15s, tanks and drones. [1]
• There was a ceasefire which Israel broke by killing Ahmad al-Jabri. Before that, there was another ceasefire which Israel broke when it shot a 13 year old boy playing football. [2]
• The important historical context: most of Gaza's residents are refugees driven out from what is currently Israel. They have also been under Israeli military occupation since 1967 and blockaded since 2007. [3]

5 WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY LIFE.

Two of these books I am reading - as you do on your iPhone, one more I would love for Christmas. Daughter alert ALERT!

I never know who reads me here.

I have no ways of telling.

I don't feel it matters or if it influences me either way.

BUT I do reach out to feel with you in your life.

How you touch poverty within others.

How you touch poverty within yourself.

('Life is Difficult' - the first 3 words in the book 'The road less travelled')

I am with you if you are feeling alone or bruised.

And if you you have adequate loving support - inter dependence around and within.

I share myself/journeying.

Feelings - hoping it helps.

BUT

I have to reflect

I need to reflect to get stuff out of my system.

Internal dialogue is better coming out

rather than swirling within.

And now I am back in my office at Wilson Mansions

I refer to my little red notebook which is my mobile reflecting tool::

I see the words saying I felt FLAT.

I have been waking a lot at 4am and that's not like me.

I turned to my

which I ask people and some respond L5-ly - others duck .......

It's good to Google our lives - a sort of evaluation or situational analysis.

(Did I ever tell you I introduced the Queen to this when we had lunch together one day?)

My 5 on the train this week were

1. Emotional FLAT
2. Reflective
3. Post-energetic
4. Post-buzzing.
5. Health?

All these could get a paragraph at least.

I ask myself why? 

Why didn’t I have a social worker like you? 

Why didn’t I have a teacher like you?

Why didn’t I have a father like you?

So many angry young children, teenagers, people will feel the same as that only 

if only someone showed them a different beautiful route 

they wouldn’t have the nightmares they do, 

the lack of confidence and the lack of social skills.

Also I have been writing my book ‘Product of my environment’ about my life. 

All truth and nothing held back in the belief that maybe one day someone will read my book 

and stop letting pain and hate consume them before it’s too late. 

We are not ‘Products of our environment’. 

We are all beautiful, individual human beings or as you would say ‘human becomings’.
