Wilson Mansions yesterday ....

...... every year we have a Champagne afternoon when friends Gill and Steve hit the Champage and a BBQ with us.
This year pushed into September due to busydiaryness.com
But a glorious warm and even Sunny Day in London Town.

It was our turn and my turn to BBQ the Black Chicken and other suitable dishes to burn.

Beautiful humans
BBQ food not too bad either!

A Joan cheesecake to die for ....

We are responsible
to people
not
for people.

pip wilson

Just want to say
you are beautiful
you are a beautiful human person
but I accept that you do not feel that
sometimes
a lot of the time

most people I talk to
and ask
do not 'feel' beautiful
Just like me
sometimes.

but I 'believe' I am
I have decided
and that helps

I don't like what I see in the mirror
but I believe I am beautiful
I accepted myself when I was 40-ish
I became an adult when I was
40-ish

I decided to tell everyone they are beautiful - when I was
40-ish

Feelings go
up
down
swirl
linger bad
linger negative
linger high
linger low
linger positive.

feelings are important and I believe we need to clock them
and own them
and recognise them.
Sense them
Own them
Articulate them
Words attached to them
be assertive with them

Then the part of us which
thinks
evaluates
reflects
collects all the evidence together
to make decisions
understand
direct
........................ that is the human part of us which is there to say
'yes'
those feelings are real and say something
but I believe I am beautiful
I can change
I can not only
'be'
but also
'become'
The journey into wholeness
one step at a time
never
reaching completion
always
beautiful imperfection.

That is my - me - at the moment.
Still journeying
Still yearning
Still OK but still restless in my incompleteness
my
imperfection

but the main thing
It is in my beautiful imperfection.

You are beautiful
believe it
you are beautiful

to describe my life at the moment and I ask others to consider .......

Ian::
rested,
excited,
romantic,
thoughtful,

Caroline::
hopeful:
I have a grain of that in me that tells me that I can go on now without the curse of depression descending in force again.
fearful:
at the same time I doubt this and worry that the darkness will descend once again.
family:
this is so important to me - my daughters especially, and seeing them grow and blossom.
teaching:
the start of a new academic year holds promises and challenges - a big part of my life.
refreshed:
I feel this strongly right now - I'm going into the new school year with a feeling of strength and renewal.

Pip::
volcanic - meaning I am bursting out of myself with loads of feelings I don't understand.

Greenbelt - it is so ingrained in my soul as I relive the experiences in my head.

Restart/Refresh - I feel like this is the start of a new year and I want to refresh my irritation.

Passionate - I want to be on this great Road Less Travelled.

Yearning - I am feeling for a number of humans who are going through tough times. I want for them. Not prescriptive. Just that they step on with self determination. I yearn that they can.

Malia feat. Erik Truffaz-Yellow Daffodils

Michael Franti
and Spearhead
....... we have been after them for seven years and having them as a last gig on Greenbelt Monday was wondrous.

Michael Franti says of his experience at Greenbelt::

"I sing my songs not to change to people's minds but to open them and Greenbelt is a mind-opening event..."
"So many people here from different backgrounds all exploring faith and culture through the arts in harmony and unity – I’ve never been to another festival like it …"

CONSIDER::
see these lyrics from one of his new songs -
get the album 'Yell Fire'

Everyone addicted to the same nicotine
Everyone addicted to the same gasoline
Everyone addicted to a technicolour scream
Everybody trying to get their hands on same green
From the banks of the river to the banks of the greedy
All of the riches taken back by needy
We come from the country and we come from the city
You play us on the record, you can play us on the CD
All the shit you given us is fertilizer
The seeds that we planted you can brutalize them
Tell the corporation you can never globalize you
Like Peter Toss said Legalize It
Girls and boys hear the bass and treble
Rumble in the speakers and it make you wanna rebel
Throw your hands up, take it to another level
And you can never, ever, ever make a deal with the devil

Iraq ordeal was not in vain, says Kember
Number: 5835 Date: Sep 1

By Matt Cresswell

EX-IRAQI CAPTIVE Norman Kember has talked openly about his four month imprisonment in the Middle East and insisted the ordeal had not been in vain. Speaking to a packed auditorium at the Greenbelt festival on Monday he told listeners how his Christian Peacemaker Team was captured last November and thrown into a guarded house outside the safe Iraqi ‘green zone.’

In an interview with Canon Lucy Winkett, of St Paul’s Cathedral, Kember explained how his fellow captives kept themselves sane while chained hands and feet to chairs. At times he said some of them felt suicidal. “It’s difficult to commit suicide when you’re handcuffed,” he said. “But I thought when I get back to Pinner I’ll do something about it. It was then that I realised that I had some hope.”

..... Broadband down at Wilson Mansions.
No narrow band either - offline.
Such is life in cyber rock and roll.

I am clicking this on a dead laptop.
No wi-fi,
strange experience.

Long long day out today - knackered and still not cut my toenails.

My friend Dan ........... asked me today, to give him five words to describe my life at the moment.
Over the past years I have been asking you, and others, to join me in the journey towards Level Five by thinking and clicking this five word summary of life .... ..... ..... I gave him these::

volcanic - meaning I am bursting out of myself with loads of feelings I don't understand.

I yearn that they can.

.............. and you?

..... it is now another day and up before 5.30 and don't need to be ...... what is this all about?
At least I got the Broadband back hey hey

Some fab pix here. Sample of some of my life at Greenbelt. More to come.

"
A song of
Redemption in the poor world
From slavery to the rich world
A song of redemption in the rich world
From slavery to false dreams
We want to hear how the hand of the Almighty
Can free this world from mental slavery
We want to
Get up, Stand up
And not give up the fight
A song about a world where
No woman, no man, no child
Does no crying no more
A song of redemption
where all people choose to
Do justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly and
Live generously
On the good earth
You have
Loaned us
A song of freedom from addiction
To substances which are choking our planet to death
A song of redemption where
Every little thing’s gonna be alright "
