I touch on tears

I touch on tears.

Often one person in many will share via tears, unwanted ones, unwanted to disclose tears - but something big going on on inside emotionally.

These are great moments emotionally - beautiful moments - memorial moments GOOD for the person NOT a moment of weakness.

Beautiful humans share their inner self with me - it is beautiful. Often, they disclose, that they have been in an inner struggle and not been able to self disclose.

It is a great step. ONE step - because the next step needs to me another good rather than a memory.

You may have picked up from my Facebook or here, a little out-burst in response to one of my quotes. Then I love it in others who chip in - wanting to be real even though it hurts. Tear-Up ............

Sometimes teared-up ...................

Facilitating a training day for Teaching Assistants -for Teachers etc..

Behaviour an inevitable issue in the classroom.

At the end of my training session, I am cultivating feedback from everyone in their small groups around the room - getting feedback was a re-enforcement of their learning - and a massive 'take away' learning was::

Focus on FEELINGS not on BEHAVIOUR.

Stand out: REPETITIVE question to the child, equally relevant in a workplace, "how are you feeling?"

If the child, adolescent, employee, facilitator etc, can share their own feelings it gives permission for all present to open up with some level of disclosure at the end of the day.

At the beginning of the day, and throughout, I repeated::

"You are beautiful"

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL

NOT

What the mirror says

What the scales say

Your certificates say

Your knowledge says

Your body shape says

Your personality says

Your feelings say sometimes

#YouAreBeautiful

It is the content of your soul

It is your uniqueness

You are a BEAUTIFUL human.

Then, as the attendees start to pack and getting ready to depart, I often get one or more of the participants come forward to where I am am packing my bag to depart:: Someone will approach me and say "My son is beautiful" ....... and followed by walking away ............. home bound - sometimes teared-up - sometimes a dropping note on my untidy desk - or scribble on a post-it note "my daughter is beautiful" ................sometimes a whispered 'thank you' ......... etc

For me = the most powerful ...................

Love these two - just full on Granddad LOVE

GROWTH ON THE MOTORWAYS

I remember composing this

travelling down the M1 spine in the UK.

I had been facilitating business team from the City of London - they were managing big money in International Transactions & I was helping with their team building.

I had a note book between my legs as I drove and, with a lot thinking, I wrote on the pad without reading/seeing my prose.

The words came slowly .......... but they were completed by the time I arrived at my home base without looking down.

Since then I have never been tempted to change / add to it.

It stands alone for you here.

For your consideration as you transpose it into reality in your context.

We won the Rugby League Cup at WEMBLY

YES - I am still flowing with passion from this great result.

St Helens - we won!!

Here we in our full kit on before the match!

I wonder if you can spot me?

I am always saddened when our game doesn't get to spotlight we deserve.

At every level::

Schoolboy

Amateur

Professional level

Women's Rugby League at all levels

I remember playing the game in the local park when I was about 5 years old.

I have a great passion for the game.

Not so much the Union game - I played for my factory workplace for a few years. I was never the same.

The TV game as major disruption at the moment due to covid.

I major deprivation in my life.

We can’t believe it’s nearly a week since the fantastic scenes in front of fans in the Wembley sunshine as St Helens lifted the Betfred Challenge Cup for 2021, while Featherstone Rovers were crowned AB Sundecks 1895 Cup winners. I weep with this man ...............

I have had this picture for a long time.

I keep it because I weep inside and outside. Even now typing this few words - even now those words - - - - - are inside you - I feel alongside his unplanned words, I feel his hurt, trapped lost, & more .........tears, his, in my eyes. I guess he has so little energy for him to weep - leak ...............

'A poverty that imprisons the spirit'

Poverty locks humans into prison of many kinds. Survival is a description.

I have so many words I could use but they are poor alongside his feelings and tangled unformulated sentences ...........

So I leave the picture & my words with an opportunity for YOU to write * some tangled fumbling incomplete ones - unequally yours - feeling your own poverty as you enter his experience ....................

I received a message from a Minister ......READ ON

I was catching up with my social media and WOW ................

In came a message from ::

THE MINISTER OF HUMAN RIGHTS

asking if our Blob Tree Tools could include some of our powerful Blob Tools to communicate issues relating to Children's Human Rights.????

Immediately I contacted Ian the BlobTree Tools Artiste - and wow ........ Ian started on this project which has developed into a book!

A CHILDREN'S HUMAN RIGHTS BOOK

Before long a book was created - followed by a hardback book:: ....... Now available all over the world for schools and any contexts where the development of children is pursued.

The amazing thing is::

The Minister of Children's Human Rights is nine years old!!

In a London School where they have Ministers for all issues -

THEY EVEN HAVE A PRIME MINISTER

One year we had the is coach on loan and we drove (me at the wheel) all the way to London from St Helens JUST to watch the gig game .................

The Y Club,Nunn Street. Parr, St Helens
I was The Youth & Community Worker back in the day - 1972
We borrowed an old 30 seater coach, like this one above, and drove to Wembley Stadium, London, to watch the Saints - St Helens Rugby League Team.

We beat Leeds that year !

The NATION is awaiting a great game coming very soon.

I drove the old coach & I remember, on the way back to Parr, the engine of the coach

( which was inside the coach )

started smoking and my wife,

pregnant with our second daughter,

was sat right next to the burning-up engine.

It was May 1972.

Another Y Club historic moment was when I was driving this old coach through Wales on a Y Club outing.

This was the only time we ever saw a coach just like ours - it was in the middle of a field - a wreck but uses for ................

It was when we came across one in the middle of a field in Wales - used as a Chicken-Run!!!!

The chickens gave us a warm reception !!!!
