Had a great night out last night
Curry in Brick Lane
with friends to die for

Great food but the delight
is the humans.

Great conversations
born at Greenbelt
and carried on,
curried on,
with many various gatherings.

We always miss people
some make it
others can't but
we love it all the same.

I could have danced all night.

    Year 2010: The art of looking sideways

    We all need tools in our life toolbox for the times we are sharp with the ones we love or “difficult” relationships at work. Level 5 is a tool, a skill to have ready for emotional moments. It is about managing emotions and learning the ability to avoid regrettable outbursts. A workshop to get tooled up.

This was received from my friend Claudia in LA, who I have never met - eye to eye.
It is the movie shown at the funeral of Michael Been, lead singer of 'The Call'.

Let your day begin ..........................

I have blogged much about 'Let the Day Begin' - played at the start of 'The Very Stinking Late Show' at the Greenbelt Festival - every show - up to 5 times every festival.
He played with The Call there too.
Powerful stuff.

It churns me/connects with me
especially with the issue of how we can live out our faith in God - loving God/Living the world/Loving the world.

I checked my iPhone this morning in bed.
Then received the link to THIS.
I watched and wept in my bed - my iPhone shaking as I viewed and felt the power and love of a life lived.

Thank God for Michael Been.

Below a prayer which can also
be sung as a hymn to the tune::

'God of all faithfulness'
If you know it - you may find yourself humming it internally as you read.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lord of our city, we bring you its pain
The muggings, the dole queues,
The lift’s bust again.
The fear of each stranger –
And nowhere to play.
The waiting for buses at the start of the day.
Lord of our homeless, we bring you their cry
The waiting on promises – pie in the sky.
The red tape and questions and
Sent on their way
The sense of frustration at the noon of the day.
Lord of all races, all colours of skin,
Please make us fight racism,
Let us begin
To see how our prejudice colours the way
We treat friends and neighbours
At the end of the day.
Lord of our whole lives, we bring them to you
We’re powerless, defeated till
You make us new,
Then powered by your Spirit, we
Go on once more
With news of Your wholeness
Good News for the poor.
Yesterday we had a big Family Event.
Connie/Constance/Conniepops
was Baptised in a Church in North London
followed by a Pub Party with loads of
Family
Friends
Children
and a great time was had by all.
Her are a sample of the pix from the party and in the Church.
This little beautiful human
blows me away.
Not only her beauty
but
her spirit
her life
her instinct
adventure
and her eyes ....
Her Granddad here ........... and really pleased to be so .....
