'Pip Wisdom' by Pip Wilson - BOOK REVIEW
BOOK REVIEW
REVIEW::
Pip Wilson has been around for several decades in mainly the third sector, places like the Mayflower and YMCA,
these ramblings are very insightful and with the current revisiting of emotional literacy helpful.
Constantly inviting the reader to share, open up, and be a listener.
Key themes in emotional well being, value of others, examining self and own impact, excerise in group hugging and encouragement to kiss.
The Author does tend to self indulge although that's minor, if someone wants a kinda urdan wisdom group guide, to dip into that doesn`t take itself too serious.
Then this small pocket size book will be handy,
not a serious read but surprised how deep the issue go.
In short useful,
helpful,
reflective and
fun.

A day in the LIFE of Pip Wilson dot com
DAY IN THE LIFE
2007 today I bought my Mac pro laptop - Sheila still has this ancient thing.
It was my second Mac laptop - the first was 2003.
1985 I started work at Romford YMCA.
The whole family had moved into the 11 story tower block
to live into flat on the second floor.
The Sheilas, MrsBeautiful, two cats and the Juke Box.
Some of this new life is documented in
'Gutter Feelings' my first book - the extended version HERE
1939 I was born before Churchill was Prime Minister
and before the World War started
I was five years old before it was over.
Millions of humans lost their lives.
Don't we all hate war?
Bob Hoskins died this week at the age of 71.
Great actor and genuine geezer - RIP.
So many people are dying younger than me.
It draws my mind to wondering how long for me?
It is no use pretending because all of us, as we get older,
must think on these things.
I am still working.
I am still creating.
Still in communication with many humans 121
Still conducting training and facilitation.
Still publishing books and tools for human growth -
Shalom.
My health is good
even though I am tired more quickly.
Can't do all I want to do.
(I guess I have always felt that).
1 My real passion is working face to face.
The number one is facilitation.
It is a challenge in preparation.
Nothing is off the shelf - every gig
is to meet the objectives of the team/group.
I love the interactive/experiential experiences.
It drives me.
I am less turned on
(no turn on at all to be truthful)
about the admin, finance office stuff.
But I love the learning I get
being with BHPs and stretching them
which stretches me.
A new one came in today for September.
I like that.
They come through the mist and love every one.
2 My number 2 in terms of loving it
is being in a 121 helping relationship.
It's not just hanging about with BHPs -
even though I love that.
It is being proactive as a support, stimulant to others.
I love it.
All the other things I do are down the list.
I am not so good at regular writing any more
even though I have a new book being edited at the mo.
I am looking for a great book title (ideas?)
The book is about the stuff I do now which is
the Number one on the list above -
and some of the number two as well.
I am managing my Gout issue now.
It did hit me hard from time to time.
Now I can manage it but need to keep a grip.
It's mainly my kidneys which are getting older than me!
I pump too much adrenaline which my kidneys can't handle!
Other than that I am trying to walk more.
But it is so boring
even with music in my ears
MUSIC is with me all the time.
I love it Love it.
We eat healthily and I don't eat sweet things
biscuits, cake, desserts
(and never chocolate since November 2013)
other than when we have a special meal out
like tonight - a special restaurant meal hmmm.
I will have a desert tonight!
So that is the day in my life.
Reflecting on it - before and after!
This week-end it our Level Five w/end.
It is 34 years since we met and we have been colliding since.
(if you don't know what L5 is just use the search
on my website and you will see much about it !)
I think I reflect more on this than any other issue/topic.
Signing off now
until - when I get home from Nottingham.
