NEW U2 SINGLE NEWS

I will be playing it v soon so keep your eyes and ears locked.

and available to download from 15 February - is the first to be lifted from

No Line On The Horizon.

I got to hear the new U2 album in its complete and final form. I can't say too much about it now, for fear that the skylight of my attic office would explode in a shower of glass and a black pvc clad figure descend from wires to seize my computer, leaving behind only a pair of blue tinted wraparound sunglasses.

The album will be the Dublin band's 12th studio album and was recorded in Morocco, Dublin, New York and London.

The follow up to 2004's How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb will be released on 2 March.

The LP was recorded with producers Brian Eno, Danny Lanois and Steve Lillywhite after initial sessions with producer Rick Rubin were aborted.

In addition, a digipak version of the release will feature a 'companion' film by acclaimed director Anton Corbijn.

The cover artwork for the album is an image of the sea meeting the sky by Japanese artist and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto.
