The Sheilas
....... that is what they call themselves since visiting Australia some long years ago.
'Hey Sheila', one says, 'have you heard from Sheila?' the other says.

Ann, on the right above - and in the pram below, we went to see the Saints thrash 'The Quins' 54 - zero yesterday at the Twickenham Stoop. It was great being with her and Dave and, because we were starving , after the game we called at a little French Bistro and had a great chatty catch-up meal.
Joan missed out because she is in the North with her fragile Mother - but she did watch the game on TV.

Because of the good win we went to the top of the SUPER LEAGUE which is Rugby League (for some who may think I support the other game of rugby which loses the ball under a mass of bodies and makes the game so boring zzzzzz.)

Sheila, Joy on the left above and outside the pram below*, was in a litle Beach Hut by the sea where Joan and me had a great day last Tuesday - seems so long ago.

I
love
my
Sheilas ......

*this Pipturesque was taken in Monte Carlo - we used to take kids from deprived backgrounds on trips to South of France, Italian Riviera, Switzerland and here!

Such feeling in the human frame ............

“Real communication occurs when we listen with understanding -
to see thee idea and attitude from the other person’s point of view,
to sense how it feels to them,
to achieve their frame of reference
in regard to the thing they are talking about.”

Psychologist Carl Rogers.

Hi - long day out for me - two hours commute x 2 today ........ I wonder how you feel.
Thanx Julie for telling me all of that.
I love it.
I love it when humans tell me how they are.
Sometimes I feel that I am being told about the surface - even the surface feelings.
That's ok - I appreciate you sharing anything because it is a privilege.
I love it love when humans feel that they can take greater steps than that -
and NOT sacrifice freedom for security.
It is a distinct privilege to tell me who you are - at the moment that is.
We move/we change/we feel new/different things .......
I love it when you tell me Dana/Dan/Caroline/Oyvin/Torgrim/Amanda/Paul/Matthew/Julie/ .................. and more ...

'Why am I afraid to tell you who I am
because if I tell you who I am
and you don't like who I am
that is all I have.'

That, above, is the title of my favourite book of all time.
I try to do this 'tell you who I am' in these clicks.
It is Pipology for 'Level Five communication'.
I want to take risks for my own development.
I want to be honest about the important matters.
They are feelings.
Inner journey.
Fragility.
Vulnerability.
Imperfection.

I know I am accepted.
I know I am valuable.
beautiful ..................

I know you are.
I know that you have one life, one of your lives, disclosed.
One, another life, undisclosed.
Yes - you.
And I join you in it.
I believe that the journey is joining hands, touching finger tips with those two lives.

I believe the journey of life is that journey into beautifulness
accepting our beauty
at the same time loving yourselves in it.
And that spills.
it spills out.

The Blog post below is from a human I met some 20+ years ago.
Never since.
Thank you Amanda for giving me permission to blog it.

I leave you with a Blob Tree. (Click it to see it enlarged)
If you are with another human - tell them which one you are at this moment.
If you are on your own - touch one on the screen and tell yourself
the doing is more powerful than the thinking ....................

You are beautiful ..........

Dear Pip
I do hope you don't mind me contacting you, I appreciate you're a very busy man, but your work came up in conversation today and after visiting your website I wanted to drop you a line.
You don't know me, I was just one of many people you met many, many years ago at two youth weekends organised by the illustriously titled 'Anglican Young People's Association' (AYPA) and you made a tremendous impression on me.
Two things I remember most of all - the first is that we are Beautiful Human People! The other was this.... on both weekends you brought a young man who, if memory serves, was called Patrick (I could swear his pic is on the website). Anyway, he'd been on a trip to South America and he told us some of the things he'd seen on that trip and sang to us. That was to be a pivotal moment in my life as just a few days earlier I'd experienced God's very real call to work for Him abroad. As immensely intense as that experience had been, I'd asked for two signs to confirm His request! He kindly obliged - once by a friend suddenly handing me a leaflet that week with the words 'Is God calling you to mission?' emblazoned across it, and then again during the time that 'Patrick' was talking to us. I did indeed go abroad for 6 months to Uganda. I thought I'd be going back to work there again for a few years but, of course, God knows the plans He has for us and I ended up marrying a Ugandan I had known even before I went there! We will have been married 15 years next week.
All this was a very long time ago now, in fact next week I'll be 40!
I fell away from my faith for a couple of years but even through my failures and insecurities I've never forgotten your words, that I'm a 'BHP'.
So that's why I'm writing to you - just to say '"thank you Pip".
Sometimes we just don't know how, or even if,
we're touching someone's life.
You have been such a blessing to mine.
God bless you and yours.
With love in Christ
Amanda

If you are in the UK or can get it on the Internet ...........
Ann was Producer Director for the programme on TV on Thursday/tomorrow!
Thursday Channel Four at 8 p.m..

Sheila went to San Tropez in the South of France to film Joan Collins.
She is a famous film star, who made many films including The Stud and The Bitch which were both huge commercial successes.
She then played the part of Alexis Carrington in the hit TV series Dynasty.
In that sense, the two films were an integral part of Collins' becoming one of the biggest TV stars of the 1980s.

This is Sheila on the left ......... she tells me off if I put pix of her on the web like this!

See the show if you can ................

You know when you have driven for hours on a motorway?
and when you stop driving, for the next few hours,
you still keep braking, see flashing cars -
even when you are trying to sleep.

Well - Joan and me planned to go down to Sheilas,Joy, who now lives near the sea.
That was Monday and I had the flashing cars and the sort of braking I get from working with beautiful humans - long journeying .....
It was a day before the braking and the flashing cars died away .............. and
We stayed overnight and, here in the South East of England on Tuesday hey hey, it has been 28 degrees of pure heat!

What I missed on a weeks holiday all happened in one day - hey hey
I stripped and fried in the sun like a big fat beetroot - love it love it loved it.
Now I will be able to wear my shorts to work every day -
I normally start in May but the weather in England, and Venice, has been er er ........ wet.

At the same time my favourite and only favourite fiction author, Lee Child, has published and it was hand delivered
by Mr Amazon.
I stuck my ear plugs in, Gilles Peterson, glazed myself with oil and stuck my head in the book .....
Soooooo I hit the fiction for the first time since June 2007 and I became Jack Reacher - hard as nails me .......
I have read all his books and this one 'Nothing to Lose' is hard back and just gone to number one in the US I understand.

Alongside that, and a contrast, I am reading, a short paragraph at a time, 'Divine Beauty' (The invisible embrace) by John O'Donohue.
For some time I have had a digital recording of John who was speaking on this same subject/book at Greenbelt some years ago.
I have listened many times, life changing and mind stretching - and he tells me I am beautiful - and I need that.
You can get the download, and others, from the Greenbelt web-world HERE.

167
Now I can get back to catching up with those digital lines in my inbox
Now I can answer the increasing invites to do some stuff with young humans and their workers.
(I must tell you what I can do some time. You may want to invite me to work with a group you belong to - or know?)
Now I can play the six cd's
I bought last week and listen to all the favourite dj's I have captured from thinternet .................

Just a little catch up.
See you tomorrow, I am here every day, bar one or two days .......... and remember -
you are beautiful ..........

Why people change

• slow despair, boredom.
• They hurt sufficiently.
• The sudden discovery that they can.
