in terms of openness and sensitive sharing

What is your greatest characteristic?
I need to spend some time with A...
with his drug problem.
I dive in and ask him and his friend
"What is A's greatest characteristic?"
whilst reversing the question to A....
They do it!
They communicate, clearly describing qualities they see in each other.
It was an experience of affirmation....
... left them talking...
....at a different level.
