Discovering the ability to talk about FEELINGS was a massive step in my life.

I was brought up emotionally illiterate. I guess/could be wrong as I am with many things/I guess most of us have been brought up that way.
I discovered about feelings when I was in my 30's yet I have been in possession of them all my life.

I remember doing a course and the trainer constantly interrupted me when I was talking. He was asking for feelings. I was talking about thinking THINKING.

That was a big step. To clock the interior me did not shuffle the two into separate awarenesses. I feel. I think. A bit like L5 communication. We need the full repertoire not just one - such as being able to social chit chat - to the other end of the spectrum.

It needs a group to be able to do that. To learn from each other. I think we cannot do it alone.

Are you aware of your feelings?
Are you able to share them?
Are you able to articulate them?

Maybe a developmental are eh?

BROKEN WISDOM.

I DON'T FEEL SPIRITUAL ANYMORE

ONCE I spoke to my YouthWork non managerial supervisor

“I don’t feel
spiritual anymore”.

Response

”I am glad”.

He was glad I was in

CHANGE.

A road less travelled story.

Gathering humans together throwing out stimulus = Youth Work

Gathering humans together
throwing out stimulus
*in an informal context - sometimes standing up dialogue
*in a more formal  (but hardly) when we get humans sat down -
I love the late night opportunities .......

I love the rapport ............ fish rapper stuff .....

When you have been hurt it is difficult to trust again.
More-so to love again.

My push

is to stretch to love.
Make love.

The theory is that if we separate from people,
not liking one or another or slagging off others,
that destroys the 'community'
(the principle methodology of growth and development)
and also hinders the growth of the person themselves.

To write someone off is to damage me too.
It is old fashioned 'love your enemies' because..

.. anyone can love their friends.

It is wonderful to hear affirmation flying over the group.
One corner to another.
"I used to think you were an idiot,
a loud mouth idiot with no care and sensibility to yourself or anyone else.
Now I have got to know you, you are a really good guy. "

Love it, love it, love it.
That very issue of getting to level 5 communication
makes my heart sing and
I believe God rejoices in heaven
'because such is the kingdom of heaven'.

There are people in the group who really add some great stuff
and sometimes sit back and think .......
... something of God is being made here.

"Shalom' ........
right relationships
right community
right sensitivity
right openness
right direction toward the kingdom coming in rich and broken lives.
