Where I am now …………

Where I am now …………

I remember .......
I was in a family kitchen helping to dry up the dishes when
I asked a question::
‘Are you where you want to be?”

There was a deep silent pause = feelings were being processed - words searching ……

I had asked question relevant to this beautiful human
and
there was not a reluctance to brush it of - change the subject - or go superficial ……

Where are you?
Are you where you want to be?

I am only asking you this question because
I am asking myself right now as I click keys …….
and I don’t know my answer yet.

*

My body has just had a big birthday
and it happened with many BHP’s saying/messaging strong affirmations to me.
I thank you if you are one of these blessings givers.

These triggered a lot of feeling inside my ancient frame.
It has taken me, the whole experience, some amount of time to recover from the energy I used
in receiving these joys.
I have felt really tired and I have to re-visit where I am at AND
where I want to be..

“I am in the the
process of becoming
what I want to be.”

I am still working.
Every day but not everyday on the road.

I am facilitating training - awareness and skills stuff with various groups of humans who invite me.
If you follow this website ……...
(which I would love it if you subscribe to receive a daily email -
see www.pipwilson.com - the sidebar on the right.)
……… you will see / read reflections on these parts of my mission.

I use photos images & Blob Creations on my www and in my Mission gigs on the road.
They have much more impact on you and me than many words spoken or typed.

Still foundational in my Mission Statement is::-

"Seek the Shalom of the city
where I have sent you
because in it’s Shalom
you will find your own Shalom”

This was quoted by me at the end of my first book
 'Gutter Feelings’.
FIRST Published in 1985
and republished / added to / extended in 2012.
(search Lulu.com for a direct dip into this book)

I am where I want to be because I am still undertaking  ’Seeking SHALOM’.

I want to retain this part of my Mission as long as possible.
The rest of my mission work is managing BlobTree.com, with my Blob partner Ian Long,
&  the many spin offs from many people who use the Blobs in their own work/Mission.

I can’t be where I was
non of us can be -
but I am in a place where I want to be -
but it is more towards the shallow-end now!

BUT I am still taking work nationwide and abroad for the year forthcoming.
Taking on new challenges.

I remain where I want to be.

AND YOU?

“Bragging about my strengths......”

“I’ve never made a friend by
bragging about my strengths,
but I’ve made countless
by sharing my weakness
& my emptiness.”

Bugge Wesseltoft = TRY - VIDEO

HATE ME - A VIDEO ...................

Blob Tree Tools in various formats - ALL about communication.

Blobs

Blobs are delightful characters (without gender or age) that help facilitate and stimulate meaningful discussions about difficult issues or situations. Individuals or groups can start discussions by identifying themselves, or others, with an individual or group of blobs whose actions or feelings represent their own.
The series includes a range of activities, books and posters, suitable for all ages.

I love it, when we get close. The human contact ......................

I love it, when we get close.
The human contact of course -
but I mean the relational stuff - that’s best.
Love it when you can get so close you can share the real meaning in life.
Spending time in Hostel meal tables with two humans who themselves  openly talk about the damage done to them -
or the damage done by themselves.

The broken humans, the broken offerings to life
(and here I include myself)
bring something special to relationships.

So I sit and dine with them, more importantly, communicated to each other.
It was not long before the questions flowed.
'get beyond the level one' I say to myself (& you), as soon as possible.

We move to a different level so I asked them both
'what do you think is the greatest quality in the other person?
Fantastically the words flowed so quickly,
so sincere, so out there but also so sensitive.
The listening and the acceptance and the kindness, the generosity.
They shared and glowed to hear the other affirm.

Love it!
It was a deliberate developmental question aimed at facilitating them building each other up
in world which so often savagely knocks them down.
It was also about relational work, their relationships and them with me too.

Then the next question was about the two doors.
Do you know that one?
If you don't let me know and I will do it yet again with you
because it is so fantastic (again for development).
And they continued to talk openly and warmly with each other and myself.

I have written a mission statement for my new phase of work.
It helps me focus and say to myself does this programme
I am thinking, designing, proposing - does it fit the mission?.
I want to be mission focused in all things and not just doing the admirable things like
meeting needs and building relationships.
I want to be proactive.
I am a man with a mission (non oppressively),
but freely chosen with self determined hope.
I yearn for the wholeness of these damaged BHP's,
but so much I will not add to the deprivation and create dependency.

I am off - and ask me to tell you the 'bus driver' joke next time we meet.

...... the fact that professional youth workers do not appear to have been included ........

Letter in the Guardian today::
For many young people living in deprived communities, local youth clubs have often been the springboard to opportunities that lead to meaningful employment and lifelong volunteering, and participants have developed a range of skills. Outdoor activities and youth-led drama and arts initiatives have been decimated by a government that appears to be driven by austerity measures.

Although the prime minister has invited a range of professionals to discuss the implications of knife crime in meetings at No 10, the fact that professional youth workers do not appear to have been included is very significant.
