I felt tense today.
I sense that in others but also
'we are not afraid' - well
maybe we are
a bit ........
It didn't help when the tube speaker system penetrated my iPod to tell us to be extra vigilant.
Then, the same voice, "A suspect package has been found at Holborn Station ....." (my destination) and he then described alternative routes which - my only one- left me an hour late.
So London is quiet - even in rush hour.
Walking down once busy streets is much faster.
"Please be vigilant"
Flowers placed at station entrances with beautiful notes attached.
From my bus I see city workers sat out in the bright sunlight.
All dressed in summer colours.
Lightly dressed humans - showing a range of body shapes.
Police on every corner.
Stations and street corners policed.
Sirens constant.
My cafe 'the new Piccadilly' - 60% down in income.
For the first time a younger man offered me a seat on the tube - I accepted and sat next to a young women dressed as a young Moslem women would............
As I click keys - there are reported news that the Police have found out details of who 'may' have planted the bombs ........ and an arrest ......... my prayer is, that this will happen and there will be a series of people brought to justice .............
