The Norwegian Visit ......

I left Wilson Mansions in a London Borough called Havering - better known by the name of Romford.

Under the London underground, better known as 'The Tube'.

Popping out of the hole in a place called 'London Heathrow Airport'.

Onwards to Oslo.

Another flight to Aalesund, the Norwegians pronounce it "Ol-a-son"

Then a Taxi to the Ferry, I missed the bus due to flight delays.
The Ferry sped me to Hareid where I was met by my great friend Oyvin, who lives in Ulsteinvik another large town on the island.

The main event was in Haried, a Festival for Young Members of the Regional YMCA/YWCA and they came in number - about 400+.
There seemed to be hundreds of workers - both volunteers and staff.
Some had travelled for four hours to get there. Not a bit like travelling in London Town!
The programme was a busy one - all keeping the young humans active, stretched, loved and wild with music, dancing and fun!

My involvement was to work with a great team of humans to put on a big show which I call The Rolling Magazine (It just keeps rolling fast - and it is has lots of bits like a Magazine!)

It has a base of upbeat music which was dropped by the DigitalDJ/VDJ/CDJ - good friend and U2 fan Mr Torgrim Grimstad (who works as a professional TV Director with the Norwegian equivalent of the UK's BBC.
Inserted into that beat, a fertile ground for fun and meaning, was a series of Games, on stage and on the main floor area. The games become increasingly wild and messy. The interactive games become increasingly personal and stimulating for those present to consider the fulness of life.
The Crew for the event were Tensing Norway who could be best described as the cast of 'Fame' - the movie.

They are a group of 20 older teenagers + who work together for a year full time. The dance, sing, have a great band (with different members taking the instruments at different time - men and women. They ROCK (I have painted the words 'rock' on my upper front fingers so I can copy the rock-stars - just joking-!!)
They also build in to their show, a spectrum of movement, sketches, theatre, motion and emotion. As with the Rolling Magazine, it is impossible to describe well because it is 'experiential'.
The were great - setting the climate of trust, ploughing the ground to make it fertile, energising the audience so the were not just::
Human beings
but
humans 'becoming' .................. I love em love em love em ..........

They are some of the facts. (More to come about the other involvement I enjoyed ........ loveditlovedit!)
I will tell you about some of the diamond moments in the coming days ......... and some of my vivid experiences ........ I have got to get it out of my system ...........

you are beauty - full ............................... another fact ...........
