40 years of L5 relationships

Angie Wright writes::
This is one of my favourite photos ever!
Sally Hardy and Pip Wilson at Greenbelt 1980....or perhaps 81?
40 years of friendship - so so precious.
What an amazing privilege. Sally and I (friends from when we were 10) met Pip at the Mayflower youth centre in Canning Town on a Crusader holiday the summer of 1980 - along with a gorgeous group of people who have become life-long friends:

Annabel, Nicola, Ros, Deborah, Bob, Simon (who shared both his life, his wonderful family - Ann and Ben and Mae, and his death with us) Dave, Tim, Pete, Nat, Jan, Dot.

Many of us have met up regularly two or three times a year for 40 years- either at each other’s houses to ‘level 5’ (for those of you familiar with Pip’s work, you’ll know about this deep and intimate level of sharing) and in between at the wonderful Italian restaurant Da Marios in Covent Garden.

We were meant to be on a celebratory 40th weekend away this weekend in Ashdown Forest - obviously not possible now because of the pandemic.
But oh my word we have SO much to celebrate and we will.... next year with all our children too who have shared in this most amazing friendship group.
I am blessed more than words will ever express by each of you - thank you.
Love you all very much.

SWOT ANALYSIS ON OUR OWN LIFE (+ pip questions)

I use this tool often
in my own evaluation of life.
REALITY CHECK
and also in my work with groups

Who are you?
Who are you in touch with?

Do you do regular reality checks?

I am in touch
with humans who are going through tough times

I am in touch
with humans who have gone through tough times who are
The most beautiful humans
The scars seem to cultivate openness - vulnerability
L5

Vulnerability is a strength
not a weakness......

I am in touch
with humans, and privileged to be so,
who are going through massively complex
and extremely excruciating times.

CAN YOU CONSIDER ANSWERING THESE QUESTIONS?
Only for you
in the secret place within?

START::

If you have a bed to sleep in tonight.
Thank God,
or whoever you acknowledge,
for this privilege.

1 If you could not sleep in your own home tonight,
where would you go to sleep?
Think - DECIDE - don't just read.

OK - a friend or relative - I guess.

2 Second question -
how long could you sleep there
before you felt you would need to move on?
Think - decide - don't just read.

3 If you had no money,
no bank account and
you had to leave home/relative/friend
- where would you go?

4 If you was not wanted at home,
if not welcome amongst your friends
- how would you feel inside?

So many young humans,
and much older ones,
have experienced
relationship breakdowns.
Often caused by
substance misuse,
chemicals,
alcohol,
behaviour,
mental health issues,
slump of confidence
including basic inadequacy.

These humans are in pain
and it is not chosen.
It is a slide into poverty,
- a poverty of the spirit too,
and
a massive stigma.

The cycle for them will not change
unless other humans
step out of their comfort zones
and contribute to those
who are in greater need
than themselves.
We can always position ourselves as 'needy'.
I certainly do.

If we always only look to see
those who are richer.
Yet so often,
never really consider,
or even look to see,
those who are,
so called,
'below' us.

All of us cannot
sell up and go and live in the poorest community.

All of us cannot
stand alongside homeless humans.

All of us cannot
change jobs to work alongside youngsters in vital need.

All of us cannot,
yes we can,
we can
look out for those
who are on the fringe of our
vision
social network
friends
street
workplace,
frequented haunts
everyday places
and ........
go out to them
like no other human does
who they have met that day.

Sometimes they have never met anyone
like you
this
week
month
year,
sometimes
life time........

U2 Is Preparing For An Upcoming New Album U2 Is Preparing For An Upcoming New Album. Hey Hey - EXCITING

Bassist Adam Clayton Confirms U2 Is Preparing For An Upcoming New Album Which They Recorded The New Songs For In 2019 And Now The Studio Effort Is 'Ready To Go.'

AceShowbiz - U2 are all set to release their next album when the coronavirus lockdown ends, according to bass player Adam Clayton.
The rocker insists the new material won't be released until the pandemic is over, but it's almost "ready" for fans.

"We did some recording last year that got us some really great starting points and complete songs (and now) there's an album ready to go," he tells Rolling Stone. "We're just not really sure when we want to press that button."
"When I say ready to go, I mean ready to be completed. Let's put it that way... It's very, very fresh. We've cut everything quite quickly. We're coming to things in a shorthand way. The feedback we get from that is pretty good. We want to be quick, down and dirty with the next one (album)."

Thank you everyone for contributing to my life. I have a problem!

Thank you everyone
for contributing to my life.
At 81

ALL MY MUSIC

There was thousands
of albums mixes DJ collections
+ Annual fav collections over many years
MUSIC from all of my life.

Now there is only 3.31 gig left
= 574 songs

THIS ABOVE IS ALL I HAVE LEFT
I have more music on my iPhone
than I have on my desktop Apple Mac
I scream

AND wild messages re back-ups
are telling me different things
AND
I can't 'back up' for some reason.

Spent some time with
an Apple guy on the phone yesterday.
Eventually backed up
Took 8 hours to back up
Backed up overnight
OK:: 2 June 2020
then
these odd signals came through this morning ::

I asked the guy where is accent was from:
He said Albania
and I responded::
"You yany person ebooko"
and he roared with laughter.
(you may guess what it means !)

Albanian such a minority language.

Grrrrrrr re the Time Machine backups
but midst a
beautiful exchange with a human.

- I have variations of answers ........
Most def NOT FINE

I am 81 now & that is sort of ridiculous because I feel like a mature 40’s
Yet the hips pain when I walk -
but I do it.
I do ache to be with my two daughter & the two little ones.

I feel a bit like I am glued down & not free to go.
Do.
Be.
All I want to be.
I still have cancer but it is being held - not cured.
I feel for/ with you.

I have feelings::

And George
