Willie Williams writes his diary on 'U2 dot beautiful com' ....... he talks about how he stays late at night to prepare the next show and the lights and visuals for the next set list ........"The rest of the crew will leave after dinner and we go down to a night-crew of just enough people to allow Bruce and I to programme all the various elements that make up the show.

Usually a couple of lampies (lighting crew), Smasher our touring video director, and one other video person to run the video pixel panels up and down on cue and generally make sure nothing explodes. As compulsory volunteers for the night shift, I usually pick patient guys, at least one of whom is a dab hand at tea-making."

He lurves his tea ......

...... ..... I am away dear blog clickers - and it is late ........ tired by the week rather than the day ......... I am at the English YMCA Movement National Assembly at Warwick University. All week-end.

I am in my student room - the nearest I get to University ..... I went to a Factory University ........ at 15 I went to work in a factory making things for ships so I could eventually become an engineer and sail the world.
I did become an Engineer.
The University was good and I learned much ........ but becoming a Christian at 21 snatched away the urge to go to sea.
I am only pleased about this. It was a life decision I never regret.

I am clicking this in my room and tomorrow I hope to find some wi-fi and send it to you that way ....... if not it will be Sunday.

I am playing iPod in my room with my diddy speakers and listening to a radio programme pre recorded from the Late Junction on R3.

Like who they are - at the top of their field but ......... why do these humans always come over to me as people who seem to know the answers of all things. They know a lot and stats flow ...... but we are all beautiful imperfection and that means they-me-we don't know what we don't know.

There seems to a a culture of training humans to big up their front - big up their knowledge but not connect with their vulnerability ........... they must have these feelings of insecurity and inadequacy about areas of life - but are trained to ONLY declare the surface and not the whole person.
Rant over.

I feel good - not particularly connecting with my feelings but I have them. I feel some sort of aloneness as I am here NOT with a group from a ymca. My feelings are those that I see in the behaviour of others - the way they stick with those they came with - meals - in session ........
The ones who are strategic in moving around from group to group - known to unknown - they have these feelings too but accept them because they see the benefits from the insecurity .......

I like the development model;
