It is a great place to curry
in no hurry.
This one tasted like the best ever.
The food seemed better than ever
the gathered were beautiful.
There was eight of us
(we missed you Gordon
- and everyone else we knew could not make it)
We just talked
talked
a larger or two
flashing iPhones
catching up
laughter
asking questions
sharing deeper things
superficial things
friendships.
A highlight was when Emma
said I looked like a Hollywood star
who she had just seen newly released.
(I thought Brad Pitt)
Emma works for Christian Aid
at the forefront of working for justice,
the sort which helps humans
escape poverty
(or maybe she meant Matt Damon)
Emma is married to Matt.
They both turn up for curries
just like clockwork
(maybe, realistically, Clint Eastwood)
She told me - it was
the star of the recent movie by Pixar
called 'Up'
