Global Youth Work Co-ordinator, Y Care International

Y Care International is recruiting a Global Youth Work Co-ordinator to manage our Global Youth Work in Action project, funded by the Department for International Development.

We seek an individual with strong experience in project management who is able to support the design and fundraising of new projects. You must be comfortable working alongside a wide range of stakeholders including young people, youth workers and senior managers.

This is a great opportunity for someone to develop their skills and experience at a national level. You will lead organising of training events, a national event for young people and supporting a range of organisations deliver smaller global youth work projects.

Salary: £28,400 (includes Inner London weighting) pro rata.

This post is offered on an initial 8 month, fixed-term contract (June 2012 – March 2013). We welcome secondment enquiries.

Youth Film and Moving Image Production Manager

£20,000 - £25,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week

You will be required to manage, promote, develop and deliver YMCA youth programmes and activities that engage young people in the local community, and to utilise the developmental asset framework in a collaborative approach with Centre partners, and foster future partnerships within the community, organisations and young people. You will be responsible for managing a team of up to five youth workers including the supervision of a staff team; and in partnership with the Business Development Manager, you'll be required to source, research, and apply for funding to sustain department, manage bids, complete returns etc.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds, and of engaging young people through a working knowledge of community arts, digital arts, music and media. You will have experience of managing Heritage projects using archive footage, and training relevant to youth work and community arts, digital media and/or moving image.

This post is subject to a CRB check at an Enhanced level, of which the organisation will meet the cost.
