Walsh Wants Better Defence
LUKE Walsh says Saints need to focus on their defence if they want to be successful this season.
The scrum half says the Club's attack has been pretty fluid - but they need to stop leaking points.
And he's put to bed rumours of being unsettled.
"It was a good performance at the weekend against London, we needed to win and get a bit of confidence back into the team which I thought we did," he said. "We were scratchy in the second half and know we have to do better against the top teams.
"I don't think we will have problems scoring points, it's our defence. On London's first good ball defensive set we let a try in and doing that against the good teams will kill us as proved against Leeds and Wigan.
"Our attack is pretty good at the moment but the problem is the defence and we are working hard on that."
Luke has featured in 10 of Saints 13 matches this season, scoring three tries and kicking 42 goals.
He joined the club from Penrith Panthers in the close season and has been the lynchpin of a strong attack.
"I'm happy," he said. "My family has settled in and everyone is happy. The little fella is happy too. I'm in good spirits.
"My wife is happy and we're not going anywhere at all. We're staying here."
You can hear Luke talking about the challenge Bradford present and his goal kicking on BBC Radio Merseyside tonight between 6 and 7.
