those big blue eyes
never as a human looked at me
so long
so full of .........
studying my face.
Adults don't do this.
These big eyes
in a little person
just look and look
grip unblinkingly
now judgement
just enquiry.
I am overwhelmed by those eyes
surrounded by a still little face
just looking
gripping.
