Greenbelt ..........

..... last week-end is so close and yet the brand has burned into my soul and left a permanent stamp.

Yet another GREENBELT MOMENT .........

A follow up from 2004, the iPod Show rolled again this year. I hosted it at 7 p.m. on Greenbelt Monday - the last day of the festival. It was a fantastic and brilliant event that left me buzzing for hours.

About forty humans gathered in an indoor venue with a good sound system and a passionately good tech crew - pulled together well by Oliver. I decided that all of the willing humans would have about five minutes including a mini-interview by me. It rocked.

Propping on the end of the stage - I did my three tracks as an example - talking over the intro and playing only one minute of each of my selection. Then we had a treat and a half ........ each of the ones who wanted - pumped out some fantastic grooves with a quick click and swirl of their iPods.
What a spectrum of vibes. One standout was Egyptian Death Metal track!! - see a almost full list of the tracks below. (thanx Oliver).

I loved it because there was a mainly group of younger humans - so passionately about their vibes. All stayed and listened to the full hour plus. There was applause - bobbing heads and a great atmosphere for us all. Oliver said "...... several people have said to me that the event was the highlight of this year's festival for them!"
I loved it.

Half way through the show - I thought of an idea for next year .....
We would do the session again and the three winners would do a five minute set on the main stage between the top acts. That would be fifteen minutes/nine tracks of their music .......... smashing the crowd on full volume (from iPods :-)

Gonna make this happen - the young enthusiasts on the main stage doing their five minutes of fame ................

see here the tracks and the humans which made my Greenbelt Moment ........
