The Doctor telephoned today, that is history being made,she said that the hospital tests, a couple of weeks ago, had identified a bug or something - in my stomach and she is giving me two kinds of antibiotics to get rid of it, also some meds to stop the pain - presumably when I take a hit.

It must be something which can be treated by antibiotics.

After all this time - since 2003 ............. took long enough to get a diagnosis eh?

She said it was, sounded like 'helicopter' or something.
I want to talk to Mary my homeopothist to check with her as I don't want the two treatments to be in conflict.

I am pleased hey hey

I have looked on the web, following a good read of the leaflets in the meds, and it seems I have got 'H.pylori'.

Web-site Quote::
What is H. pylori?

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a type of bacteria. Researchers believe that H. pylori is responsible for the majority of peptic ulcers.

H. pylori infection is common in the United States. About 20 percent of people under 40 years old and half of those over 60 years have it. Most infected people, however, do not develop ulcers. Why H. pylori does not cause ulcers in every infected person is not known. Most likely, infection depends on characteristics of the infected person, the type of H. pylori, and other factors yet to be discovered.

Researchers are not certain how people contract H. pylori, but they think it may be through food or water.
