Introducing The Hive and The Den
If you’re coming to this year’s Greenbelt and are aged 11-18 there is so much going on onsite for you to get involved with. We have a packed programme just for you and two designated Youth venues so you can make the most of your time at Greenbelt.
The Hive
The first youth venue, The Hive, has a real buzz about it. A space to see artists ‘Live and Loud’ and up close. With special guests including; Jahméne Douglas, Stanley Odd, Hobbit, Luke Leighfield and more!
Additionally, The Hive features opportunities to experience ways of worshiping that are perhaps less conventional than your Sunday service – including club worship, Metal Hymns and Guvna B’s urban style of ‘gospel rap’.
This venue is the place for you to get involved in a whole range of workshops, from Hobbit’s Beatbox Masterclass to trying new styles of dance, performance and song, or even creating your own campaign.
The Hive is also where you can perform, see other young performers, quiz, chat and dance the night away in our Late Night Club (open to young adults up to 25 years old).
The Hive is open from 10am through ‘til after midnight most days.
The Den
In contrast, The Den is the space for you to reflect, to unearth your opinions and chat about them with other interested people your age. It’s the home of heated debate and discussion (some of it with cake!).
We’ll be talking about politics, Climate Change, Child poverty, turning eighteen, inclusion and leadership, fashion, forgiveness and more.
Join us in The Den as we explore the festival theme of ‘Travelling Light’ and over the weekend hear stories from different perspectives.
You can also use this venue as a place to connect and explore your spirituality as we run different styles of worship every day. We’ve also squeezed some workshops in too, including the chance to make your own ukulele from a butter tub!
Finally, look out for our sessions giving you a chance to share your views and our massive Monday night quiz.
The Den is open from 9.30am through ‘til 11.30pm most days
Around site
There will also be Music, Ideas, Literature, Film, Comedy, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Worship across the site in other venues, too. There is loads booked with you in mind as well as specific slots for you to have a go as you Make and Create and explore what it means to be Instinctively Wild.
