Mrs Goleniowska was invited to Downing Street last night for an event held by Mencap with the Prime Minister’s wife, Samantha Cameron, The Edge from U2, Jodie Whittaker from hit TV drama Broadchurch and Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley all there as guests.
She said: “The Edge was amazing and supportive of the charity and shocked at Collin Brewer.”

A speech was given by film-maker Kate Spicer in which she said that great progress had been made in terms of attitudes to disability but there was still a long way to go. She then quoted what Collin Brewer had said to the Disability News Service about farmers: “If they have a misshapen lamb, they get rid of it. They get rid of it. Bang.”
Mrs Goleniowska said: “The whole room was aghast. An audible gasp of shock went around the room.”
Mr Brewer previously stood down from his role as Cornwall Council member for Wadebridge East after it emerged he had said disabled children “should be put down”.
But he was re-elected on May 2 bu four votes. Police are now looking into the comments he has made and Cornwall Council is examining whether there is a case for disciplinary action.
Mrs Goleniowska said: “Many mums have found this incredibly hard to deal with. He has simply got to go.”
