An excuse to show I am a U2 fan.

You missed a bit! U2 frontman Bono sports patchy auburn coloured hair as he ditches his trademark black locks

He's one of the most recognisable faces of rock music, known in the 1980s and 90s for his long dark hair.
But U2's Bono looked a far cry from his trademark image as he took a stroll through New York on Thursday, sporting a patchy crop of auburn hair.
The 53-year-old, who has worn his hair shorter in recent years had clearly decided to mix up his style and ditch the jet black locks that he became known for.

Despite his image change, the Without You singer was still instantly recognisable thanks to his trademark tinted sunglasses which seemed to match the new colour of his hair.
But the rock star seemed to have missed a few areas on his head, as some parts of his hair looked a slightly different colour.
Still looking as edgy as ever, the Irish singer matched his black jeans with a brown leather shirt and wore a string of brown beads around his neck.
Image change? Bono looked like he'd opted for a completely change in hair colour (L), compared with the more recognisable black locks that he had last year (R)

Spending the afternoon alone as he wandered through town, the Beautiful Day hitmaker looked as relaxed as ever, despite cutting a very different figure to usual.
Just a few weeks earlier, the star had sported slightly darker locks, while the year before they had still been jet black.
Bono - real name Paul Hewson - celebrated his birthday just two weeks before at the restaurant in Dublin with wife Ali and his U2 bandmates the Edge and Larry Mullen.

Proving that he's still hardcore, the star stayed out until the early hours, spotted heading home with his designer wife around 5am.
And while his image may have changed slightly from the band's heyday in the 1980s, U2 are still going strong, 36 years after they first formed.
They are currently working on their thirteenth studio album, which they are planning to release later this year, their first since No Line On The Horizon in 2006.
Still going strong: U2, who first formed back in 1976, are currently working on their thirteenth studio album
