A few years ago we were gathered around a large table
in a Cheltenham restaurant -
including many people I did not know.
All of us were Greenbelt Festival volunteers
or visitors/contributers from around the globe.
We were in a Curry House ‘preparing’
for the following day - the Festival day one.
To get group beyond level 1 and level two communication
I asked a question to all present.
"What is your favourite SCAR ?"
A young and beautiful American woman
stood up immediately & showed us all her scar (above).
We were stilled.
All focused as she disclosed her scar & story.
(We all have a stories about our scars.)
We were all struck by her
beautiful L5 openness
and willingness to share her story.
I only met her twice.
Once as we eat curry in that large group
and the day after when I bumped into her at the festival
as I took this photo of her arm.
What a story behind the scar ............
AND you?

Then I hear of her death.
Sarah RIP 11:09:1987 - 16:08:2016
I am so sad
I pray for her
as I feel the loss
and her family and friends.
So SAD.
