.......... ..... here we are in Brussels and the first gig of the European Tour is done.
WOW!
Two and a quarter hours the band played for.
WOW
The songs ripped through the 50000 humans with speed and power.
WOW
The technology was massive and wondrous.

Right in the middle of the set there was a major input about Africa - powerful visually and musically.
I will not spoil it for those of you who are due to catch them in the UK or other venues around Europe .......... but it was full of wonder ......

Spent a wee while with Willie Williams before the gig.
U2 have a backstage catering set up where all the 150 or so crew and band go and have all their meals during the working day. Was great to see to The Edge eating in there with others and great to see Martin and Bruce AND Mr Bits gave me a big hug.

Being the first one of the outdoor rig - everyone was tired having been at the computers and other tech stuff until the early hours. Atreat followed when I met Luke who is a Greenbelter like me - Martin - Willie and he is in charge of the animation for the massive - never ever been seen before screen behind the band. Those miniature figures at the bottom of the massive screen are - ARE Adam Bono Larry and The Edge. I will tell you more about Luke in a following blog. And lots of other things too.

It is 3 am now so I am slowing up. But it was good after the gig to slurp some wine back stage - kindly provided by the Kings of Lyon ........ have I spelt that right?

So much to tell you but ...... zzzzzz calling me.
