........... going on a week-end with one of my daughters is a great thing to do. Joy and me will gather at the Eurostar ............ and zip to Brussels - too early for me hmmm
I am taking the mactop because there is wi-fi in our Hotel and I can post some pix. Why do I do that. I am always clicking here and with the wee Pentax - now totally battered and the backside screen is 'no more' due to being in my pocket without fail.
I will have a few friends there. Martin (U2 dot com), Willie (show designer), and Bruce (lighting director). I will look forward to seeing Smasher who is the creator of all the video footage and right up there with with Willie and Bruce at the sharp end. I will also look forward to seeing Mr Bits. He is a wondrous character. He has worked on all the tours as a 'lampy'. That means he deals with the lights - jumping up and down to make sure they all point in the right places. He is from the US and I remember it is a remote part of that fair land. He is the only non-city American I have ever met and his stories are fascinating. Joan has made sure I pass on her love to 'Mr Bits' !!
I don't know what to expect. The concert yes. I expect it to blow my mind and take me into new experiences of emotion and wonder. The rest of the week-end I will be busking it and enjoying it hmmm
I say "hmmm" a lot don't I?
I am packed now. Back Sunday evening.
Then I need to 'final prep' for the two day conference on Monday and Tuesday.
It IS on my mind. Even though I am going away with delight - the gig is on my mind and is important to me. I am doing new stuff. For me. For them. 46 souls. Beautiful humans and they may not know that!
