..... not often that I can spend one evening with one Sheila but it is heaven when it happens ..... cannot remember the last time ......
We did a quick eat-out in Kettners on the edge of Soho in the West End.
Never been there for a long time but it is one I select, amongst a few, as suggestions to visitors.
It is a good - full of traditional style restaurant and yet the food is Pizza Express in content. Meaning a good Italian.
A good solid - and not too expensive.
The lounge as you enter is great to meet in and was good to have a pre-meal drink............ pink Champagne of course.
Then I had a salad and Sheila had a Pizza with beautiful beautiful water. The rest of the menu was some great conversation and a mini lecture - (I was the only student present) about what is not good/good for me to eat for the rest of my life!
I liked all the menu!
The the flicks to see 'A Prairie Home Companion' which didn't impress me at all. I found it slow. Dragged, arty as hell and just did not get it. Maybe through my ignorance ........
I read one review headline which said that Garrison Keillor has a good face for radio.
Also it was cramped and hot in the cinema and I was figgiting like a goldfish out of water.
Beautiful to be out.
Beautiful to be with Sheila.
The movie 'an experience'.
Weight loss - strategy in hand - and head ..............
PS
Great programme on BBC Listen Again - a James Brown special::
It is there until v late night Wednesday
