Parga, Greece .............. did you try Google Earth?

This is the first time we have returned to the same place - ever.
This is the first time our holiday is one week - not two.
We were here last year but this year in a different location - Olympic Hotel ....... very Greek eh?
It is on the mainland, a small village between the mountain. We like it because is is simple and yet enough to tickle the relax zones. It has a little harbour where you can catch boats to islands or beaches just along the coast.
There are little winding streets to stroll down and lots of Tavernas with a large hint of Italy which is not far away by ferry.
A coast Guard gun boat has been in here or a few days and the locals say it is because of the George Bush/Albania visit.
Youyani person ebujoo (Albanian 'you are a beautiful human person')

I had to find a cyber cafe last night to do my blog. The hotel here have now fixed up their wireless connection for me so I trust I can get in there and not have to walk the longish walk.

Beach again today and a long lunch - this time a swordfish sovalaki (kebab on a skewer). Greek Coffee Metros ....... if you don't know, Greek coffee is boiled in a small copper single handled pan and before you drink it, we have to let all the sludge settle at the bottom. We always get a smile when we ask for it in the Greek way .............. most westerners ask for cappacino ......... we love the local brew. Metros refers to the sweetness of = medium sweet.

Have made friends with a hard working beach man. Elderly - he watches over his flock, and his sun-beds and brollies like he owns them - he does. Second day on his patch and we are shaking hands. 'Tomorrow' he says we were departing.

I only read fiction on holiday so I have dived into the latest my my favourite author, only favourite, called Lee Child. Had this at home for months but now really loving it.

The washing machine in my head never stops. I think that is the same for all of us.
Coming out of all the experiences of the past few weeks, I am aware that 'the experiential' style of work I do changes the pace of our minds and emotions. The experiential makes the mind stretch - the emotions stretch. We are somewhere outside our comfort zones.
It seems to me that when we get stuck in routine/groove, soon to develop into a rut, our mind can become dull.
Unstretched
expected
dull.

Right now my mind is churning. It is part fiction - but the reality here is also dragging me into new experiences and I love it.
So I think about these as I stare out into the blue sea with a blue sky there like another flavour on top ............. that reminds me ........ I must have an ice cream sundae ..................

you are beautiful ..............
