Last week in Chicago
we missed seeing Jan Pate who lives there. We met as we both visited Bulgaria as part of a delegation striving to assist the Bulgarian YMCA to emerge from fifty years of communism. I remember experiencing a tough reality there.
A great woman who served the YMCA of the USA so well Internationally.
we missed Michael McDermott who lives there. He has performed at Greenbelt twice including a number of concerts at this years festival. We connected at Level Five. Great man. Great music. Great Level Five Communication.
we did not miss Julie Benson Julie Benson
who worked with us in Romford and brought lots of personality, energy and our very first initiation into hotmail dot com. Until then we didn't have a clue. Julie introduced Tomek to his first hotmail account and then the dice rolled to me.
We had not seen her for eight years. It was beautiful to talk and talk.
She took us to the highest tower block in Chicago for cocktails on the 94th floor and then a glorious wondrous meal in a piano bar/restaurant.
But the best was the catching up - what a great human ....................
It was the highlight of our time there.
