He must want education to be
Kids becoming
KNOWLEDGEABLE
NOT
INTELLIGENT
SHOCKING
And the government
giving all this attention to post-RIOTS interventions
to dysfunctional families
who have escaped the net re Social and Emotional education ........
What are they about ?
It seems we need to educate humans for life
HOLISTIC STUFF
not just academic achievement
SOME never EVER get to academic level
TAKE ME FOR ONE
But we can contribute to society because
we can become/becoming Emotionally Intelligent.
I remember back in the '70s having a Minister coming to East London -
he didn't look at me when I was responding to a question
I was saying the wrong thing!!!
My conclusion from working with Gangs in East London - was the most foundational need was them to develop their Emotional Resilience
and Social Competence.
We cannot just handle behaviour/prisons/police
we need to deal with the roots.
I am so angry.
