Somehow Laurie found the inner strength to turn his life around - the crunch came when he woke up in a police cell, arrested for drink driving.
'After years of suffering and depression a light came on whilst in that cell.
'I admitted to myself I needed help, I cried out to God and I believe my call was heard.
