BACK IN THE DAY
Yes that is me top left.
I was the only full time Youth Worker
at the Youth and Community Centre owned by the YWCA.
The 'W' stands for WOMEN !
So I was appointed to lead this centre in this community.
It was all volunteer led other than me. And we had loads of them and also members of all ages.
Here is one of the 4 football teams who played Saturdays. The club was open every Saturday from morning until night.
Loads of kids and families in and out and loving it.
I arrived there in the late 60's and stayed about 5 years working with some great personalities who I will never ever forget.
