MrsBeautiful was 21 - I was 25
when we got married.
One year after - to-the-day.
We moved away out of our St Helens terraced house
and both our employments
To live and work in a Young Offenders Unit.
Our first child was born there
and instantly she had 15 brothers
A Family with 15 brothers & one daughter.
All Manchester Boys.
All sentenced by the courts.
We were House Mother & House Father.
She has a big birthday this week
and I am reflecting back.
That move was a big step of faith.
Burning bridges -
but not people.
She is flying to Miami to work
Back on her birthday.
Thought I would reflect to you.
My mind and emotions are flashing back.
We have lived in 10 homes
including this the current/last one.
Only 3 have been 'private'
The rest have been living
On the JOB
In community.
A journey immersed in human life.
Tough experiences
but always riddled in beautiful
growth experiences.

I guess we have collided on the way.
As I type each line
There is a deep pause
because I am pondering
