Yes - a couple of days ago I published this image of this Blob group and asked for observations.
I asked::
"Note four things about this group.
I will give you my four tomorrow.
The bigger challenge is to observe a real alive human group.
Observing for positive reasons."
My 4/5 are::
- Two have not got arms around others.
- One is the leader of the group.
- One is being given the most attention. See eye contact.
- One is feeling unhappy/uneasy.
- One is about to disengage - stepping back.
It was interesting that the feedback I received was more about FEELINGS (which I love) rather than physical observations - reading behaviour!
That was stepping in deeper than I expected - actually practicing EMOTIONAL LITERACY.
Articulating feelings - a skill so neglected - yet so needed in people work.
In facilitation I often get participant processing through those steps::
! Clocking behaviour.
2 Estimating what the FEELINGS are of all the individuals.
Next step is using movies in training and then in real life - that is the big one.
Thank you for participating you beautifuls ..............
