I only know ofHaiti because I have read this book.
I have searched my shelves for it
and cannot find.
Another I have loaned - never to return.
Haiti I know as poverty stricken.
In the so called west - the worst,
poverty stricken and now this.
I have watched TV
and wept.
Terrible situation.
Seasoned reporters -
studio presenters
sobbing as they
did their job.
This Doctor in the book
worked in a top notch job
for a couple of months each year
then spent the rest of his time
working for nothing
building a hospital
for nothing
spending his whole life
serving the poor
-he who was rich became poor-
Haiti
His life inspiring to me
life giving
life changing
to so many Haitians.
God bless them
God bless us
as we give
to them
to those around us too -
beyond our own
to the world community
